It had been a few months since Elijah got sentenced to jail. Valentina and Rafael have been spending most of their time with each other, staying over at each other's places most of the time. Rafael doesn't leave her side when they're together, which Valentina doesn't mind. Their relationship has grown a lot, bringing them even closer. 

"Thank you. Will you please tell my uncle to bring me the blue file when he meets me?" Valentina says to the worker in front of her. 

"Yes, ma'am." they say before leaving her office. 

She sighs as she relaxes back into her chair. She can't believe how far she's come. A few years ago she was stuck inside that house with an abusive man. And now she has build her parents' company up to one of the best companies in the company, she has an amazing boyfriend, and her loving family. She couldn't be happier. A knock on her office door, interrupts her from her thoughts. 

"Come in." she says. 

The door opens to reveal her uncle to her. They smile at each other as her uncle takes a seat in one of the chairs in front of Valentina's desk. 

"Good afternoon, Alice. How are you today?" Valentina says. 

"I'm good. I got the file you asked for. How are you?" Alicestar responds. 

"Oh thank you. I'm great, actually." she says with a bright smile. 

"You've come so far, I'm so proud of you." he says to her with a proud smile while Valentina has tears in her eyes. "I bet your parents would feel the same way." 

Valentina smiles as she wipes a tear from her face. She does miss her parents a lot. She wishes they were here to see everything unfolding. See their company growing and how Valentina is holding up. But sadly, they aren't here. 

"Thank you." she tells her uncle.

"Off course." he says with a nod. 

They then start their meeting. Every week, they meet together to go over some important things. They co-lead the company, per Valentina's request. She considered it was reasonable since he had been leading the company for ten years. Her uncle argued that he shouldn't but after some time, Valentina finally convinced him. 

"We'll talk tomorrow, since I assume you're going to Rafael's tonight." her uncle says as they finish their meeting.

"Yes, he insisted. Like always." she says and they chuckle. 

They bid goodbye before Valentina grabs all her stuff and leaves her office. She bids goodbye to some employees as she makes her way to her car. She then drives off towards Rafael's penthouse. She parks the car before making her way up. As she steps inside she looks around but doesn't find him.

"Raf?" she calls out. 

"Yes." he responds as he hugs her from behind, before leaving a kiss on her neck. 

"I was wondering where you were." she tells him as she enjoys his kisses on her neck. 

"I'm right here." he tells her. "I also have a question."

Valentina raises her eyebrows as she turns around to face him. She looks up at him before wrapping her arms around his neck while his wrap around her waist. 

"And what might that be?" she asks. 

"Do you want to reunite with Izzy?" he asks which causes Valentina to frown. 

"Why do you ask?" she says. 

"Because I know you are dying to. And I'll do anything to make you happy." he says to her before giving her a kiss. 

"I guess we could go and see if she still lives there, or at least her parents." Valentina agrees. 

"Let's go then." he says before kissing her again. 

They walk out of the penthouse hand in hand. Valentina grows nervous as they continue their way to the car. What if Izzy doesn't want to talk to her? What if they aren't friends anymore? Negative thoughts run through her head. 

"It'll be okay." Rafael says to her as he rubs the back of her hand before kissing it. 

Valentina smiles at him as he starts the car to drive to Izzy's house. It's been around ten years since they last saw each other. Soon enough, they stop in front of Izzy's house. Rafael squeezes her hand reassuringly. He gets out himself before opening her door and helping her get out. She takes a deep breath before they both walk up to the front door. Rafael rings the doorbell as he holds onto Valentina. 

"Mom, I told you not to forget your keys." a voice says as they open the door. 

Upon seeing Valentina and Rafael standing in front of her, she frowns before recognising Valentina. 

"Val..." she breathes out before engulfing her in a hug. "Oh I missed you so much." 

"I missed you too." Valentina says as they hug tightly and tears flow. 

"Come on, come inside." Izzy invites them in. 

They follow Izzy towards the living room, where Valentina notices pictures of them together are still present. Izzy and Valentina sit on one couch, as Rafael sits in one of the chairs. 

"Who do you have with you?" Izzy asks with a smirk to which Valentina laughs. 

"This is my boyfriend Rafael Knight." Valentina introduces. 

"Nice to meet you." Rafael says as he shakes Izzy's hand. 

"Girl, you snatched yourself a hot ass boyfriend and he's rich. I think you won at life." Izzy says to Valentina, causing them both to laugh. 

"I'm rich enough myself." Valentina says which makes Izzy laugh.

"I'm really happy you're okay." Izzy says seriously. 

"I am too. I really thought I lost you as a friend." Valentina admits.

"You could never lose me you idiot." Izzy says as they hug each other. 

The rest of the day is spent with them catching up and Izzy and Rafael getting to know each other better. Valentina feels content. She misses her parents a lot with the things she goes through in her life. But everyone she has around her helps her a lot. She couldn't be more grateful for everybody she has around her and she reached her goal of rebuilding her parents' company. And on the way, she found the love of her life.
