Without hesitating, you step forward and put your hand in Heishe's. His slim, cool fingers wrap around yours and the next second, the forest and pond vanish in a swirl of foggy white.

You find yourself standing at the top of the stairs that lead into the darkness of the cave, the white, thin curtains that usually cover the entrance flowing behind you in a gentle breeze. It's bright outside and you can hear voices and steps coming from the marketplace, but as nobody in the village dares to even look at the entrance of the cave of the Seven, you and the two familiars accompanying you are safe.
Heishe lets go of your hand, his other still holding Daimon, as you gaze down the stairs. For some reason, you feel nervous – you wonder how and by what you will be greeted.

Without saying a word, you start descending the stairs, like you did back when you arrived here – slowly and carefully. Heishe follows closely. He doesn't seem worried, but he is about to meet the Seven or rather what's left of them, and you could understand if he felt slightly nervous.
Then again, he is older than even the demons below you. You're not sure if there's anything that can truly upset the dragon.

Don't worry about me, you hear him say in your head. Of course he realized what's going on inside you. I will be fine.
The walk down the stairs takes a while, but not as long as it seemed to you the first time. It gives you time to calm down and prepare yourself for what's to come – the joy of being reunited as well as the rather daunting task of explaining everything that transpired.
Finally, your feet meet solid rock ground, only that this time you saw and anticipated it, unlike the first time when your human eyes stood no chance against the all-engulfing, thick darkness down here. For a moment, you stare into the gloomy cave, taking in its familiar view and scent – dry, old stone.

The quiet only lasts a moment, because the next second, you're harshly pulled into the cave and two large backs appear in front of you, shielding you from an unmoving Heishe that you are now facing.
Hissing and growling fills the air as Namjoon and Jin confront the dragon, but it all sounds very far away to you.

Yoongi's arm tightens around your waist as he pulls you closer to his body.
"Are you unharmed?", he tensely whispers in your ear from behind, breath tickling your skin, and a shudder runs along your spine.
"Yes", you breathe back. His presence is overwhelming, his scent fills your nose. For a moment, it distracts you so much that you forget everything around you as well as what you should be doing. Yoongi lets out a breath, as if the news of you being unscathed lifts a huge weight off your shoulders.
Namjoon and Jin take a threatening step towards Heishe.

When he doesn't falter, the golden glow in his eyes intensifying as he opposes the two Sins, you finally rip yourself out of your daze and struggle against Yoongi's relentless grip around you.
"Let me go", you say. You know you could break free if you absolutely wanted to, as you are probably still physically stronger than him, but you don't want to risk ripping his arm off. The sight of Zoczi being torn apart by Heishe appears in your head and you halt in your movements.
Yoongi furrows his brows but doesn't let go of you. "Why?", he asks. "There's no need for you to be near such a dangerous being. He should leave the cave. After he's turned Daimon over." His red gaze flicks towards the young man who's still clutching the small black cat to his chest. It's evident none of the six demons believe him to be good company, though Jungkook, Taehyung and Hoseok stand to the side and watch without showing any signs of wanting to interfere. The latter's glance flickers in your direction and you think you catch a glimpse of understanding in his eyes.
You know you can't hide the truth from them, even if you wanted to. You look back at Heishe whose burning gaze meets yours.
Before you or him can say anything, though, Namjoon rushes forward in an attempt to grab Heishe by the throat and press him against the wall next to the stairs.
