Everything felt like a déjà vu as she walked, looking for an empty compartment on the Hogwarts Express. Well, not entirely empty... Isha would be there and It didn't really take her long to find the compartment. Isha was reading a books (nothing out of the ordinary). She nodded in acknowledgment as the latter sat down and placed her shoulder bag on her lap.

It was crazy how time had passed. It felt like only a month ago, Rose had been sorted and it definitely felt like Halloween was last week. But here they were in December- returning home for Christmas. She was so excited to go home. But more than that, she really, really wanted some questions answered. She had barely stepped out of the Ravenclaw Tower last month for anything but the classes and meals. She spent days trying to put  together every article that she could find about her father and his family. Of course, she could have just written to her grams but she wasn't sure whether owls in Hogwarts would fly that far. Besides, she might be able to ask grams the questions personally when she meets her next summer. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like an ideal topic to discuss in a letter she thought.

"Will you come to visit me then?" Rose asked Isha.

She nodded. "I'd love to if you'll have me. Are you sure it won't be a bother?"

"No way. Mum would love to have you over. I've already written to her and she said we'd be happy to have you." Rose replied.

"Seems crazy doesn't it? We're half way through the first year. I can't bloody believe it." Isha said closing her book.

Rose hummed. "I was just thinking about it. It feels like I got sorted a month back."

"Speaking of the sorting... what did the hat say? Was Ravenclaw the only house it considered placing you in?"

Rose shook her head. God no, She thought. She always believed that everybody would have at least one or two traits from different houses. She was definitely no exception.

"Slytherin."

Isha raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "Seriously? I thought you'd be in Hufflepuff."

"Hey, just because I'm nice doesn't mean I'd be one chum." Rose scoffed playfully. "It said that I was smart, ambitious and competitive. But I always play fair so... better be... drum roll please..." she said drumming her hands as Isha rolled her eyes at the girl's antiques. "Ravenclaw!"

"I'm curious though Ish, what about you? Going by your logic, you could've been a Slytherin, yes? Rose asked, pretending to stroke her imaginary beard.

"No..." Isha muttered. She knew the pestering wouldn't stop till she answered the question so that's exactly what she did. Tangling and untangling her fingers, she replied "Gryffindor" , like it was the worst possible house she could be sorted into.Seeing this Rose furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Did Isha not like Gryffindors?

"Do you not like Gryffindor?"

Isha shook her head. "I'm not saying they're all bad but some of them can really be rotten. They act like bullies- walking around and terrorising other people."

Rose agreed with her to a certain extent. After all, they had both been knocked out for two weeks because of an "accident".  But she didn't really think they were bullies. They just like playing pranks in that house. However, it was too soon to form an opinion... they had hardly been at Hogwarts for half a year.

Isha cleared her throat, causing Rose to look up. She noticed someone standing by the door, wanting to come in— Alice. She had her arms crossed as she sent a small smile to Rose.

"I'm going to ...um give you both some space." Isha said moving to get up.

Alice immediately shook her head. "No, it's quite alright. I'll only be a moment... I have to get back to Lily and Marlene.
