Dream braced himself for the two men to come bursting through the door. Techno's red eyes were livid as he glared at him. They only softened slightly when they saw his son, calling out for him in his native language. Wilbur stood off to the side. He looked nervous. He knew something was wrong. Not blinded by rage like his brother, Wilbur could see that this was too easy. Slowly, Wilbur began to tense, his eyes hardening and his shoulders squaring. Just like his brother. Techno snarled and turned his attention back into Dream. "What the fuck have you done to my son!" He bellowed. Dream cocked his head and smiled. "Well, I told him a story. A story about the past." Techno paled and Wilbur's eyes widened slightly. Ranboo's sobbing was the only sound that broke that silence as the adults stared at each other down.

Techno's grip on his axe tightened. Once he had gotten over his shock and horror, all that was left was anger and resentment. Chat screamed for blood and spat out threats as he continued to glare down Dream. The man in question looked at him and despite wearing that fucking mask, Techno could tell that he was smiling. Something inside of him snapped. With a roar, he lunged at Dream, who clearly wasn't expecting that. They tumbled to the ground, punching and kicking each other. Dream laughed and shoved Techno off of him. He stumbled and growled at Dream. Suddenly, Dream's demeanor changed. He snarled "fuck, that fucking brother of yours." Techno turned around and stood in shock. The cage door was open and both Wilbur and Ranboo were nowhere to be seen.

Wilbur doesn't think he has ever run this fast. After he got Ranboo out, he scooped him up into his arms and booked it back up the flights of stair. Ranboo had stopped crying and clung to him like he was a lifesaver. He hoped that his brother could keep Dream occupied long enough for him to get Ranboo back to safety. "Who are you?" A small, tearful voice spoke. He slowed down a little. He wasn't surprised that Techno never told Ranboo about him although, it did hurt. "I'm Wilbur. Your uncle." Ranboo looked at him, eyes wide. Wilbur didn't know what he expected but, he sure didn't expect the powerful hug that the kid gave him. He made a surprised, choking noise, panic flowed through thin. When was the last time someone gave him a hug. He couldn't remember. Slowly, he lowered his arms back down and awkwardly returned the hug. Maybe Techno did tell him about me. That thought gave life to  something warm in his chest. He couldn't help but smile. Wilbur continued to run, making sure that no one was following them. And despite the horrible situation that they were in, Wilbur couldn't stop smiling.
