I fell asleep and he appeared in my dream and then we danced.

"I'm still here, rosa." I hear

He pulled away from me and then he just vanished again.

I turned around to only see him getting further and further away from me.

"Dawson?" I said

I woke up the next morning and slowly looked up at my ceiling.

I still had dried tears on my face as I felt the warm sun on my cheeks.

I laid there just looking at the photos of us and even Paris.

Where I had wanted to visit one day. And I wanted to go with him.

I rolled over and looked at my floor as I sighed and closed my eyes.

"Rosa?" Eric, Brian and Jacob said

"I'm sleeping." I said

"I just did a double shift. You were asleep when I left." Brian said

"Let's go out." Jacob said

"No." I said coldly

"Come on kiddo." Brian sighed

"Did you even eat anything?" Eric asked me

"I'm not hungry." I said

"Can you all just please let me sleep?" I said

They sighed but I heard them walking back out of my room.

"She needs to get up." Brian said outside

"I don't know what to do." Eric sighed

"She's losing it." Nathan said

As I was laying there I heard the faint sound of a guitar.

I sat up confused and then I got out of my bed to find the sound.

I walked into my red room and Then I saw my photo developer was working.

I developed one of the photos to see the sign of the old motel and then I did the rest.

A photo developed and I cried as I saw his hands over mine.

My heartbeat was thumping out of my chest as I sighed.

"Hi." I said

I walked out of my room closing the door and then walked downstairs.

I got into my car unlocking it and then heading to the hospital.

"Rosa?" The nurse said

"Uh, I gotta talk to Olivia." I said

"Hang on a second. Let me.. wait, rosa." She said

I made it to her room and saw all of her things were gone.

"What?" I said confused

"Her family took her home this morning." She said

"There was nothing more we could do." She sighed

"Are you okay, honey?" She asked me

"Um, I just haven't.. I haven't eaten today." I said

"Um." I said as I fell into her arms

"You know what, let me check you out." She said

"Why do you need to talk to Olivia so bad?" She asked me

"It's just. It's about what she was telling me before about the afterlife." I sighed

"Maybe that old coot isn't so crazy after all." She said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Your heartbeat is fast, but it sounds healthy." She smiled.

"Wait, what do.. what we're you saying? What do you mean?" I asked

"Olivia told me you'd coming looking for her." She smiled.

"She even left you something." She said

"Her book." She smiled

"Rosa, I have seen a lot of dying and grieving in my time here." She said

"Looking back never helped anyone." She sighed

"There's either life or there's death." She said to me.

"There's no place called the other side." She said as she looked at me.

"I'm gonna find him." I said

I made it back home and I ran upstairs to my room and read.

"What does the other side look like?" Olivia said on video.

"Well, we as living beings can never imagine it as we have no reference." She said

"It would be like trying to describe a sunset to a blind man." She continued

"Technological advances have made ghost hunting a legitimate field." She said

"My friend Aubrey, she let me borrow her old full-spectrum digital camera." She continues

"This baby can pick up light well beyond the human eye, with infrared night vision." She said

I was out the back when I saw Tristan and kasey were walking this way.

"Hey." She smiled

"The other side?" She said

"That's just what Olivia calls it, but every culture has their own version of it." I said

"So, it's where we go after we die." I sighed

"Not me. I'm going to Jamaica." She said

"I'm serious, kasey." I said

"It's like a waiting room for our souls." I said to her

"Okay, so you think Dawson is reaching out to you from this waiting room?" She asked me

"There were colour photos, kasey. I don't... I don't shoot in colour." I said annoyed.

"I don't even own the chemicals to develop it." I said to her.

"But you can't show me the photos?" She asked

"No, I told you that." I said

"The fixer didn't work. I don't know why." I sighed

"But maybe spirits can't even be captured on film or something. I don't know." I said

"All right." She said

"Rosa, we want to believe you, I swear, but messages from the other side?" Tristan said

"I just think he wants the same thing I want." I said

"To see me one last time so that we can actually say goodbye to each other." I said sadly

"You loved him, and he knew that." Kasey said

"What more is there to say?" Tristan said

"Dude we need to focus okay." She said

"You're not even listening to me." I said annoyed

"Yes I am! I just don't think this is about the colour photos or waiting rooms or the other side." She said

"Then what is it about?" I said angrily

"A girl who won't let him go." Tristan said

"Just think about it. Okay?" They both said

I sighed as they sat down and I began writing in my notebook.

The pencil moved on its own and it wasn't me but it pulled my hand.

I let go of the pencil as I looked down at it confused and shocked.
