Dearest Star,

I've never been so happy in my whole life, Star!

She finally noticed me. I was really nervous when I approached her though. She was standing there all alone in the darkness of the night and under the twinkling stars up above. The moment was so serene despite the loud music blaring through the speakers. She seemed so mysterious with her small figure casting shadows 'round. The soft whisper of the wind against our skin making us shiver.

I had practiced my lines before facing her but when I said the stupid "Hi" (the word I could ever think of) everything crumbled. She just stared at me like I was some alien. Though I couldn't see much of her face, I could tell that her brows furrowed again and her lips pursed. I was stuttering, for pete's sake! But when she smiled I felt whole again. She even extended her hand and introduced herself like it was our first meeting ever.

I told her the reason why I approached her in the first place and offered to drive her home but Star, she rejected me once again. I lost it and started talking nonsense that she cut me off.

I still remember her words clearly. It goes like this: "For a stranger you're rambling too much but we both know you're not..."

Instead of being hurt, I was elated hearing them. Reading between those lines, I can tell that I wasn't a stranger in the first place, Star. She knew me at all.

Maybe, this will be the start of something new.
