Jackie sighed once more and was about to shut the door on him like she's done so many times before, but Zar popped out of the kitchen and stood next to Jackie surprised to see an old friend. Professor Membrane saw her walk up and greeted her with a head nod. She only eyed him back as a response.

"Jackie I would like to be alone with him for a little while, and I don't just mean you waiting in the kitchen as we talk either."

Jackie mumbled something while walking away to grab the others. Beio and Bary said their goodbyes and leaving. The two waited a few minutes to be sure no one come into the house by surprise before one would speak.

"Zar..." Membrane started, "you look the same as always."

"And you've grown old. Wrinkles all over the face. I see stress has gotten to you over the years."

"As to you old friend, you seem to be getting less sleep" he pointed to the bags under her eyes.

Zar huffed, "you are no friend of mine."

"When will you forgive me?!"

"Probably never!"

"Why?!"

"Why should I Brane? Not only did you get the girl, and ended up as the smartest man alive, but Dib could have put my life on the line!"

"Why are you blaming me for something he did?!"

"BECAUSE HE'S YOUR SON! You raised him to be like you..."

"I tried to keep him away from space..."

"And you thought that was gonna work? Your dad did the same thing now look at you! You are the most famous and smartest professor out there. Your father tried tying you down and failed, what makes you think you could do any better...?"

"Because like you said I'm the smartest man around, I thought I could make no mistake because of that. But trying to make Dib something he isn't was a mistake I did to him. Everyone makes mistakes and now I have to realize that. But my third biggest mistake was trying to be spiteful to you, taking our competition too far, and I apologize for that." He placed his hand on her shoulder

Zar took a second to think everything through before she removed Membrane's hand.

"I must apologize too. I acted childish dispute no longer being a smeet, but I do not wish to be your friend. You hurt me more then words can describe and you couldn't even find the time to raise your children, but even then they still got your bad qualities. But still, none of this would have happened if I wasn't so selfish... she would still be alive..."

Membrane seemed surprised and hurt by this statement, but did not push her any further.

"It wasn't just your fault Zar. She chose to not take care of herself and I chose to ignore it. I should have been there for her more instead of my studies..."

She watched as tears threaten to escape his eyes.

"Look there isn't anything we can do now. Let's just try to move on, that's what she would have wanted..."

He nodded his head turning around to leave.

Zar went to the trashcan and once it took her to her destination she stepped onto the floor of her lab, standing before her a finished spaceship that was almost taking up all the space given. She walked to the thing and placed her hand on it looking desperately at it. Was she really willing to go through with her plan? Was she willing to put hundreds of her own kind at risk just for two idiots?

"Computer."

"What? I'm kinda busy not working."

"I'm not gonna do it."

"What?"

"I'm not gonna kill the Tallest!"

"Then building this was a waste of my time?!"

"Guess so...sorry about that...I just...can't anymore! Is it worth killing them? Would hurting them make me feel better?" She looked up examining all the different parts of the ship.

"I honestly don't care how you feel I just don't like the fact you wasted both of our time to make this. I mean when was the last time you actually closed your eyes for more than 30 minutes? Or didn't scream 'Computer will you lift this for me'?"

Zar chuckled, "ya I guess that was pretty meaningless now."

"Fall off of a roof and die I literally cannot stand you or Zim anymore."

With that, the computer left leaving Zar in her thoughts. She took her hand away from the ship and walked away turning off all the lights. She used the elevator to get into her room and took the time of Zim being at school to sleep. But once again she had trouble sleeping, and after a few hours She got up and went to the kitchen noticing that Zim still hadn't made it back. She looked at the time and saw it was 2:06 meaning he wouldn't get out until 2:15 and won't make it back til 2:30.

"What is there to do over here? Usually, I stop Zim and Dib from fighting, build that ship of mine, or go see Dib and Gaz." She sighed thinking of anything to do. "Well I guess I could sew something, haven't done that in a while."

She took out some fabric and started sewing. As she was sewing she watched the tv and saw a cape with a hood on it. Thinking it looked cool she went to work on making it. Zim had made it home seeing her for the first time in weeks and hugged her. He went into the kitchen to cook them something and let her continue working. She gave it a very light blue color and golden trims around it but stopped once the food had been served.

"How was your day Zim?"

"Great, Zim saw Tak slap Keef after he finally got the courage to break up with her. It was a beautiful display of violence and screaming! 'Tis missed all the excitement!"

"Is he ok? I mean she can hit pretty hard, I should know." Zar cringes.

"Ya he's fine, he is a lot stronger than he makes himself to be. I mean he dealt with Zim for years now and he is still alive!"

"It's honestly a miracle. Tak hasn't brother you has she?"

"Surprisingly, no. She must be planning something awful if she hasn't killed me yet."

"Maybe Keef calmed her down a bit? She might start coming after you now since they broke up."

"And Zim will be prepared for anything she throws! She hasn't won any of the other times so why would she now." Zim said proudly. Zim waited for Gir to say something, but he never did. Zim looks around the place noticing that neither Gir nor Mib was around.

"Where are the two idiots?"

"They went over to hang out with Jackie, Beio, and Bary. Oh, and Professor Membrane came over..."

"How did it go...?"

"We are no closer then we were before."

"A pity, he seemed like a nice deadbeat father."

"This got Zar to chuckle a little and Zim smiled.

"You know, a smile really suits you better."

"A complaint from the oh so power Zim, there must be bad weather coming."

"Just take it before Zim never say anything nice to you again."

"She nodded getting up to put her plate in the sink and to finish her sewing.
