Shadow's eyes widened momentairly as the lavender girl wrapped her arms around him, hugging him ever so tenderly

"Thank you."

She whispered, her delicate voice gently touching his ears as they slightly twitched.

Suddenly, the exact warm, fuzzy feeling in chest from before returned. However, at this momment, the ebony hedgehog didn't completely despise the feeling. A faint, but meaningful grin formed on his muzzle as he looked down at Twilight who was nuzzling his chest.

Admist the tranquil atmosphere that surrounded the pair was a cloud of darkness that lingered from a far distance. Within the darkness stood a mysterious figure glaring at the the two, its presence unknown to the both of them.

"Well, won't ya look at that, Stripes finally got himself a chick..."

The figure wore a wide, malicious smirk upon his muzzle. A reflection of Shadow returning the lavender mobian's embrace could be seen in the pupil of their vengeful eyes.

"Too bad she won't be around for long!"

The figure cackled, their sharp teeth's glint briefly piercing though the shadows before disappearing from the scene.

A long while after the warm embrace they shared, the duo found theirselves laying upon the cooled grass as they peacefully gazed up at the night sky. Twilight couldn't help but notice how the night sky of möbius seemed so similar to yet so different from Equestria's

Under normal circumstances, the pony-möbian would instantly develop a deep fascination in the night sky as she'd connect the stars based on her vast knowledge on constellations. However, the circumstances she was in were anything but normal

The dark void that her gaze lingered on only reminded her of how far she was from her home world. The troubling reminder brought her into a melancholic trance as her eyelids lowered halfway in gloom. Though, this trance was short-lived due to the presence of a deep yet calming voice.

"What caused you to wander off?"

Shadow questioned, still gazing up at the night sky. Twilight slightly rotated on her side, giving the hedgehog a perplexed expression in response.

"What do you mean?"

Shadow sighed before gazing back at the confused lavender möbian.

"At G.U.N. HQ, what caused you to stray away from Rouge and I?"

"I-I..."

She shakily exhaled as she took a moment to look deeply into his scarlet irises. They seemed to remain stern, but a hint of interest and even slight concern could be seen in them.

"Twilight,"

The pony-möbian's eyes immediately fluttered, the sound of Shadow's voice snapping her out of her daze.
