Cheryl, what are you doing here?" Heather asked looking at her
Cheryl shifted a bit trying to find a position that didn't confirm how anxious she was.
"Oh yeah, She was looking for you but we got to talking and catching up and one thing led to another. We just sorta ended back up in Tiny's room." Sweet Pea said, rubbing the back of his neck. Sensing the Redhead needed an excuse.
"Oh,okay. I should be done in a few. I just have to check on two more patients and we can leave. My parents want us to come over for lunch so we can celebrate our engagement." Heather said, barely glancing at Cheryl as she walked out the room.
"That sounds perfect, mon amour.' Cheryl said look at the door with a slight smile.
" Okay, Well I have to go to the worm.Fangs texted and said that he needs my help with setting up the party." Sweets said, putting his phone in the back pocket looking between the two.
Okay, tell everyone I said hey."she said looking at him. Out of the corner of her eye she can see Cheryl fidting.
"Call or text me if you need anything. Your grandpa should be here any minute. Please don't drive the nurses crazy Tiny." Sweet pea said trying to kiss her on the head just to get pushed away.
"Yea, I wont and I'll be okay." Crossing her arms over her chest looking annoyed.
"Don't let her move from that bed red. I'm counting on you to look after her while I'm away." He said standing in the doorway. "Not like it's the first time anyway." he mumbled as he walked away, not listening to Cheryl or Tonil.
"You know you don't have to stay and watch me right? I'm fine and besides I'm sounded by a lot of doctors and nurses. If I need help I can just press a button." Toni said, looking at the redhead.
Sighing Cheryl stop fidgeting and walked over to Toni's bedside slow holding on the railing looking the burnette
"I know you're fine, I just don't want to leave you alone. Besides, this gives us time to talk and catch up." Tilting her head to the side, pleading with Toin to agree.
"Are you sure, I don't want your lady doctor to have to wait on you..Make you miss your engagement Lunch with the in-laws." Toni said give her a changeling look.
Scoffing Cheryl leaned back and crossed her arms over her chest.
"My lady doctor? Says the one that has a human growing in her belly." Smirking at her reply
"Touche Blossom Touche.." Toni shakes her smiling looking into Hazel's eyes.
God how much she's missed getting lost in those eyes.
"Fine, How's life been for Riverdale finest, Ms. Cheryl Blossom?"
"It's been okay, my mom and I have been mending our relationship. Whatever that may be."
"Oh wow, the Penelope Blossom? Are you sure we're talking about the same person here?"
HAHAHAHA" Chaeryl lets out a laugh that Toni's missed an authentic Cheryl laugh.
"Yes, I know it was strange for me at first too. She's actually not that bad once you get past all the things she's said and done in the past." She said smiling at Toni.
"AH, Wow." Toni says preplex by the admission from Cheryl. After a few seconds Toin broke the silence reaching over grabbing Cheryl's hand.
"That's great, I know how much damage your dad and her caused you. For you to repair the bridge between you two must've taken strength and courage. I'm proud of you and I'm glad that she's actually being a mom to you. One that you've always deserved to have in your life."
"Getting teary eye cheryl smailed at the burnet
"OMG Topaz, are you okay."Cortez said, bursting through the door.
Cheryl jumped back snatching her hand from Toin Grasp looking at the Latina that just came in the room.
"I came as soon as your grandpa called and told me what happened." standing next to Toni's bed
"I'm okay, he didn't have to call you." she said looking annoyed
"Your definition of okay is different from mine. I thought that we'd agree that you'd take it easy until the baby is born."
"No, I didn't agree to anything you suggested and I walked away." Toni said rolling her eyes
"Toni, I'm going to go. I hope you feel better. It was nice to see you again." Directing the last part to Cortez as she was walking out the door.
"Cheryl, wait...we.."
Once she got far from Toni's room she ducked into a vacant room. Dropping to her knees she let the tears fall.
