It's been around 2 days since the incident at Pitcairn. I'm not sure how Dan did it, but he healed all my wounds from then. When we arrived at the lab he just injected something in me, I blacked out, and woke up with all my wounds healed. I tried asking him about Alfred again because I wanted to make sure he was safe, but Dan told me he wasn't sure of the situation at Pitcairn anymore. He switched the subject and told me he found Alfred in a village in India called Mawlynnong, just sitting in the same spot for the last hour.
He used his helicoptor to bring me there in the next few hours and still Alfred was just sitting there, unmoving, which was really suspicious. Dan lowered my nearby because he was afraid Alfred would shoot down the helicopter. He gave me some gauze and bandages and wished me good luck. Alfred was still sitting on his chair when I approached him. "So you're Ryce?" he asked me. "And.. you're Alfred?" "That would be correct." "You're awfully calm for somebody about to fight me." "... YOU??? HAH! Don't make me laugh. You could barely even beat my tons of henchmen, and you don't even know the FIRST THING about me." He was right about the henchmen part, but it's not like he knew anything about me either. "You're thinking I don't know anything about you. Right?" dammit.. "My henchmen told me your powers, how you can control electricity. If that's really all you can do then let me show you why you're dead." The ground started shaking beneath him and some metal mesh started encapsulating him. I've seen one of those things before, things like those that let people take damage from tesla coils. I tried shocking him with my lightning but they just got deflected by the mesh. In one move he negated my ability.
"What will you do now Ryce? I know how you ACT. I know how you THINK. What will you do against A GOD!.. But you're clever. You managed to defeat a horde of my henchmen coming at you and you really shine when pressured. So I'll defeat you in your first move." "So if you aren't going to attack me unless I attack you first, then what prevents me from not attacking you at all?" Alfred pointed his finger at me and I quickly dodged out of the way before he fired a concentrated beam at me. "That's your own power you shot at me. And that's only a fraction. If you won't do anything then you'll die. I'll give you 5 minutes."
There's no way he would just let me plan without his own plan. He already said he knew how I think. I had to think a plan so complicated that not even he would figure out what I was thinking. But how? "5 minutes is up." I couldn't even think of a plan but I was forced to dodge. The only reasonable thing I could dash to him and punch him. He grabbed my hand "Was that all you could think of? The "hero" Ryce? You can't hit me Ryce. Not even once." He twisted my arm so hard I thought I could hear it crunch, then he kicked me away. "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?" He slammed his fist on my back as I kneeled on the floor with my hands on the ground. "YOU'RE USELESS!" He kicked me away again. "You mean nothing." I'm blacking out.. I have to think of something. He picked me up and threw me. "You're right.. I'm stupid. I couldn't think of a plan." I said. "But.. you wouldn't hurt me while I'm down? That would be shameful." "... You really don't know the first thing about fighting do you." "I don't... You're my first real fight. Please don't hit me... I'm pathetic." Alfred slowly walks towards me. "I'm just another dumb stupid idiot." He walks slower this time. "Listen kid. How about you stop talking and disappear." He charges a beam shot, one that looks so strong and burns so bright that it probably used all the power I shot at the suit. He fired his bolt and I dashed behind him.
I hit him behind his back right after he fired his shot. He looked at me angrily with a burning glint in his eye. I refused to give him any time to react and hit him again before he dodged the third hit. "YOU MEAN NOTHING! I THOUGHT YOU GAVE UP! WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!" "That's the thing. You're cocky. You wanted to abuse my weakness so why can't I abuse yours. It's just the game you were playing. You played chess. But I played war." I summoned a lightning javelin right next to me as Alfred screamed angrily. I threw the javelin as strong as I could and Alfred tried catching it to absorb its power, but before it hit him I hid it explode into a light so bright that it looked like you were staring at sun. He looked away before I hit him one last time with a charged punch. It seemed like making him think I was an idiot was the straw that broke the camel's back because he fainted after I hit him. I called up the police and asked them to come pick up Alfred so they could jail him, then I called up Dan so he could pick me up before I blacked out.
I woke up back in Dan's lab and the first thing he asked me was why I handed Alfred over to the police, and I told him it was the right thing to do. He just said I would regret that decision later on. He walked away, and when I checked my wounds from the fight they were gone, just like before. I left the lab, wished Dan goodbye, and went back to my home, after all I'm not sure how many days it's been since I blacked out.
