It had been a few days since the incident, turns out that kid had a venomous bite. They were given an antidote but Onyx was unconscious for 3 days now. Oscar the otter was sitting on the bedside table, Chara sat to one side, watching their friend's chest rise and fall. After a moment there was a knock at the door, "Ummm, hey, I just thought we could come and check up on you two. Oh and I also brought you some notes from class, we all tried our best to rewrite our notes into English for you. We had Mic check them for misunderstandings, haha." Uraraka said, rambling on a little, holding onto a bag with some paper in it. "I also brought you some food Chara, I wasn't sure what you wanted so I got some meat buns."

"Oh, thank you Uraraka. That's really nice of you." Chara got up to grab the bag, they then started to eat a meat bun.

"So, Ummm... how's Onyx? What have the doctors said?"

"They've said that they should wake up soon, it could just be a small adverse reaction to the antidote. But they should be fine."

"Oh, that's good then. So, how are you doing Chara?"

"I'm doing good, thanks. I'm just worried about Onyx. I hope they wake up soon."

"They'll wake up soon, I'm sure of it."

"I hope"

"I should get going, hope to see you both back in class soon," Uraraka said quickly, getting her things together before leaving the room.

As she was leaving, a doctor came in, "Oh sorry about that miss."

"It's alright, I was just heading out anyway. I'll see you once you're back in class!"

"Okay, Miss Chara I will be checking the vitals of Miss Onyx here, if you want you can wait outside?"

"I'm happy with waiting inside the room, and me and Onyx don't use she/her pronouns doc, please don't refer to either of us as Miss."

"Right... sorry about that, but oh her chart states that she is a female."

"Yes, they were assigned female at birth, but they use they/them pronouns just like myself, and it would be respectful if you use those pronouns. Also instead of using Miss you can use Mx. instead."

"Ah right then"

The doctor walked over to a beeping machine and checked on the numbers and other vital signs. He then went towards Onyx's face with a pen, lifting their eyelids, flashing a bright light into their eyes, the draconic's piercing green eyes glowed under the light, pupils constricting into slits.

"Turn off the sun..." they groaned

The doctor took the light out the way, "Could you say that again?"

"My chicken nuggets... who stole my nuggets?!" they responded in a groggy manner

"Onyx! You're awake!" Chara jumped to their feet in excitement.

"Okay, Mx. Onyx how are you feeling?"

"My bananas are on fire and dancing with the moon" they grumbled before rolling into their side.

"Oh okay, you seem a little groggy, I'll be sending someone down from the neurology department, just to make sure that they are in tip-top shape and find out when they can be released." the doctor told Chara, he then left. An hour later, another doctor came in, with Aizawa.

"Hello, I'm Dr Haruka, I'm from the neurology department. I will be checking on Mx. Onyx on their neuro functions. Onyx, I will be asking you to answer a few questions and do a few different actions. Are you alright with that?"

"Ok," they said, rolling over again

"Okay, what is your name?" the doctor brought out a clipboard.

"....... Nuggets..." they snored

"Ummm, okay. Do you know where you are?"

"Wait... what.... Where..." they pushed themself up and rubbed their eyes

"Next question Mx. Onyx, do you remember what happened?"

"Mmm... small child bit me, son of a Karen" they yawned,

"Okay, I'm going to tell you a series of words and I would like you to remember them, is that alright?"

"Mmhmm" they shuffled their wings

"The words are, Cat, Class, and Dragons, do you have them?"

"yea"

"Good, I will need you to flex your toes for me please." They flexed their talon-esc toes.

"That's really good. Now I need you to make a fist with your hands and repeat those words I told you earlier." They made a fist and spoke

"Cat, class, dragon"

"Alright, I'm going to ask 2 more questions then I will be checking your pupil reactions, alright?"

"Yep" they nodded, tail sliding to the side

"Okay, What is your name?"

"Onyx"

"Okay, the last question, do you know where you are?"

"A hospital..." they said, going quiet and glancing around the room.

"Okay, I will now be shining a bright light into your eyes, I will be needing you to look up for me."

They lifted their head up. The doctor checked both of Onyx's eyes, and went, "Alright, seems like everything is alright, you will be allowed to leave at the end of the day, your guardian here will need to sign you out before you leave. A nurse will bring your belongings to you soon." They then left the room.

"Alright, I'll leave you to get sorted, and while you are getting sorted, I will go and sign you out, we have a car waiting for us as well." Aizawa then left as a nurse came in with a bag.

"Here are your belongings."

"Thank you" Onyx hummed, changing out of the hospital gown and back into their regular outfit, they flexed out their wings, sweeping their tail over the ground.
