After a night of movies and snacks, the two of them decided to head to bed, walking into his room Jao wasted no time on getting into bed.
Closing his eyes he soon fell into a deep sleep. Though he slept peacefully for a fair few hours he soon woke up feeling unwell, he tried to open his eyes but it was a bad move as he opened them too quickly causing his pounding headache to hurt even more.
However, pulling back the covers didn't seem to be a good idea either as he instantly began to shiver. Fighting against the cold, he quietly left the room and headed down the stairs in search of a drink and some headache tablets.
He searched high and low around the kitchen for some tablets but had no luck, sighing he settled on just having a glass of water, not having the energy to continue looking for the tablets. Grabbing a glass out of the top cupboard he turned to the sink and filled it half full, staying stood by the sink, he began sipping the water every few moments until a voice spooked him causing him to drop the glass.
"Jao-"
"Ah! oh god I'm sorry Sky I didn't mean to drop it."
"It's alright don't worry accidents happen, It's my fault anyway for making you jump.", he replied moving to clean up the broken glass.
Jao tried to bend down and help clean up but he immediately regretted it when pain shot through his head, grunting in pain he quickly stood back up but lost his balance and grabbed the counter for support.
Sky was quick to look to see what was wrong and gave him a concerned look, "Jao love, are you alright, what's wrong?"
"My head hurts, I have a bad headache.. I came down to get some water and some tablets but I couldn't find any.", he said whilst rubbing his temples.
Putting the broken glass in the bin he quickly walked over to his boyfriend to steady and support him.
"It's alright I've got you, come on it's late lets get you back to bed and I'll bring you some water and tablets okay?"
Shielding his eyes from the bright kitchen lights, he held on to Sky's arm as he led him back upstairs. In all honesty Jao wasn't looking forward to going back to sleep as he always had some slight trouble sleeping when he was feeling unwell.
Getting back into bed he saw Sky sitting beside him.
"I'll get you some water and some tablets and I'll be back in a minute."
Jao nodded in understanding and tried to speak but nothing came out except a mumble, "Hmm- hm."
Sky just giggled, "Hey, don't fall asleep just yet."
This made giggle Jao a little too, "Trust me, I don't plan on doing that right now, not with the way I'm feeling. I never was a good sleeper when I was unwell as a kid."
Turing on his heel Sky left Jao alone for a moment while he went back down to get tablets and water for Jao, though while in the kitchen he couldn't help but let his thoughts race around in his mind. Question after question popped up, though he could only scold himself.
"Good god Sky, get yourself together.", he said quietly, he only had a bad headache which was making him lethargic.
Back upstairs he went straight to Jao's room, "Hey, I've got your water and tablets."
Accepting the water and tablets Jao didn't waste time in taking them, "Thank you, and I'm sorry for waking you up I didn't realise I was making noise."
Sky disagreed, "You didn't it's alright, don't worry about it. Night darling."
"Night."
