Looking down and seeing blood she then only realized that in her haste she forgot to wrap her hands. She sighed thinking to herself that this will take a couple of weeks to heal. Slightly annoyed at herself she walked to the sink and turned on the freezing water, then proceeded to put her hands under the stream. Watching as the blood was being washed off her hands, she saw the water turning pink, it made her think of that night. That one night she shoved towards the back of her mind, never wanting to think of it or remember it, but it somehow always came back to haunt her."You just gonna stand there forever or what?" someone said, which quickly took her out of her daze.
Looking up she saw him staring at her with slight annoyance about his features. She categorized him in her mind right away, that is what she always did. Every time she met someone new, she would stereotype them, categorize them, and figure out what group they belong to. She knew right away he was the popular jock/bad boy at school. He had a fairly well-build, broad shoulders, was pretty tall around 6 feet, had a perfect six pack, icy blue eyes and the slightly wavy deep brown almost black hair did not disappoint either.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer."
After he spoke, she realized she had been staring, and a slight blush became visible on her cheeks. She never blushed, not for anyone but this guy ugh. She just wanted to punch him in the face, or even better the throat.
" I wasn't star..." she tried to say, but he didn't even give her the chance,
"Save it, I mean who doesn't want this?" he said pointing to the rest of his body.
Ugh he was really pushing her buttons now, she hated guys like him. Ones who thought too much of themselves and had the ego of a blue whale and the wisdom of an ostrich. Yes, ostriches are considered one of the dumbest animals out there, I mean they stick their heads into the ground if they feel threatened. That is beside the point, the point being he was pissing her off, but he did not need to know that. She knew what he wanted, he wanted a reaction out of her, and he was not going to get one not if she could help it. Turning around on her heels she started walking away.
"Hey, don't you walk away from me." he said to her as she was walking out.
So, she was right, he did want a reaction out of her and not getting it pissed him off.
"Well serves him right." she thought to herself.
As she neared the door and was about to push it open, she felt someone grabbing her arm. Not expecting it or being prepared for it she automatically ducked down and covered her face with her other hand whimpering quietly.
After seeing her reaction, he quickly let her arm go and stepped back. She soon realized that it was not him it was just the cocky guy that she walked away from at the gym. Realizing she looked weak and pathetic she became furious at herself. She did not know whether to punch him or to scream at herself. After a few seconds she realized he was not worth the time plus it was not his fault she reacted the way she did. Turning around she pushed open the door and started jogging at first then sprinting back to her house.
