Kolkata. When the life appears bleak and a person realizes that he is technically left with nothing to lose further; from that certain minute he thrives to have what seems to be the best according to the knowledge that he has attained. He seem to be absolutely ready to pay anything as a cost to attain it. He willingly walks towards the reeking truth of life which he once avoided out of apprehension, out of false gratification. He gradually grows carefree of his life, even ready to adorn death, if that is what is required to uncover the concealed verity from the past.
Jagadish Ghosh sat on a bench placed along the wall outside the lawyer's chamber. He held few documents in his hands that he felt was prerequisite for his case. The man was in his mid sixties and his eyes were hooded, giving an impression of a soul lamenting over an undesired misery of it's life. "Mr. Ghosh," a voice called with uncertainty, causing the man to look up from the documents. "Oh! Umm.. Hello, sir, I hope I could manage to come to the Law Firm before it got too late to recover," Jagadish said with a speck of optimism lurking at the corner of his heart quite evident in his eyes. "Hello sir, I'm Ashish and if at all I'm wrong please do rectify me," said the other person, all adorned in formals. Clearing his throat he continued. "Atul Ghosh, your son died in an accident right ," he paused for a second, before he could organise the words of use for his next statement. "The police, says that the dead body is damaged, as it was under the water for almost couple of weeks", he continued in his usual nonchalant tone.
Ashish's face held an expression of curiosity. "May I know what brings you here, Mr. Ghosh?""The incidents that took place in the last few days, has surged me to think that my son had been murdered," Jagadish squeaked, making an attempt to check the truth of this new possibility via jurisdiction. Ashish's face held a confused expression watching a mid sixties discover a new theory of his son's death. "Well, I know that Barrister Chaudhary can surely help my dead son get the justice that he deserves," he said almost wailing the very next second. Amid such an overwhelming circumstance Ashish still held his composure intact, though his mind was baffled. "Only if you could excuse me for few minutes sir," Ashish went behind the door of a chamber. Jagadish seated himself on the bench once again. Few staffs who were distracted by the wails of the old man, now resumed their work.
The door had a name inscribed on it and it read, Anirudh Roy Chaudhary. Ashish opened the door and peered through the small space between the door and the wall, "Excuse me, sir," he said, his voice moderate. The person seated on the high wing chair, facing his back towards the door, beckons him to come in. "You have a client, who has come up with a new theory of his case," Ashish informs, standing erect looking at the thick volume of black hair peering through the back of the high wing chair. The room was all peach brown, where else the list of exception had the desk placed in the center, duly organised and four barrister bookshelf containing several books, that were imprinted with the words of information.
The room had ceiling to floor windows, giving an ecstatic overview of the west part of the city. The wall opposite to the door had a painting of Shakuntala and King Dushyant. Anirudh swirled around to face Ashish. He put down the marble stone he had in his hand.He had put on a square aviator power glasses having positive dioptre that made necessary corrections to adjust his long-sight view. He stood up and walked towards the window, infront of which stood a pullout shelf, with a couple of six ring binder files placed erect on it. He had worn a white cutaway collar linen shirt, with a solid black tie and a navy blue pant. "Who is it, Ashish?" he asked, meanwhile he ran his long slender fingers through his fine straight hair.
