Path of the Jedi

When i get up everyone else is still asleep so it quite which isn't the Ghost but i still like it. I get out of bed and head to the kitchen. I get a cup and sit down. I take my time to finish my drink and get up. When i get up i leave the Ghost and head to town to buy food and other things. When i get into town people walk around getting what they need. I walk around getting things until my arms are full. I head out of town but stop. A small group of kids stand in a corner talking about something and adults start to listen to him. I walk over and i start to hear what he says.

"She's a deadly warrior some say she's the protector of the Sift a place where people go if the Empire is attacking there village." The boy says. When i get close enough i see its Blast. "And then there's Hard Shot the other warrior they can scare the Empire so bad and the thing is Shadow has lightsabers." He says and everyone gasps.

"Is she a ... a you know what?" A little boy asks in a whisper. All the children look around to make sure there are no storm troopers or any Imperials around.

"From what I've seen and heard i believe so. She protects everyone she even saved me one day." I say and the kids look at me. "She strong and yes the Empire does fear her." I say and some people frown. "The Empire said that they killed all the Jedi on Dark day but that's a lie." I say and everyone nods. People start to walk away and Blast gets up smiling.

"Nice to see you again Sha. So now your running pick up hu can you run some of mine please." He says blinking his eyes. I punch him in the arm and we start to laugh.

"I chose to come out here and get stuff. No ones sending me any where any way we are running low on credits." I say to my self and look up at him. His face looks grim.

"Aren't we all the Sift needs food and its getting harder to find out there next shipment. Some food is being shipped from the other groups in other places. Some are coming from Tatooine and Geonosic. So we'll get by for now." He says and I nod gravely.

"It's like before again. make sure people get smaller portions but make sure they get enough to eat I don't want anyone starving." I say softly. I thought responsible for this it was my job to protect them to help them to feed them and here I was not even taking care of them helping them I was leaving them to fend for themselves.
"Okay... I'll find a way to fix it okay." I say and walk back wards. "See you Blast." I yell as I turn around and run. As I run to the Ghost as I run to see Kanan about training. What Ezra did on the base was not good I knew that much my guess was he connected with the dark side of the force which is not good. It's never good to connect with the dark side most people who could control the force and connected with the dark side too often turned bad and left to join the Empire. when I get on the Ghost I put everything where it belongs the food in the kitchen the explosives in Sabine's room but I keep a few with me in Kanan's room. When I reach the door to our room Kanan and Hera are talking to one another but then Hera walks away and I go to his room. Kanan stands next to the bed he looks at me when I enter my guess was he already knew that I was coming into the room.

" how did the talk go with Ezra?" I ask as I sit down on his bed looking up at him he looks worried but I don't want to ask him afraid it will set him off or he just won't tell me. lately Kanan had been on edge a lot and it scared me. at some point I thought I'd like to switch back with Sabine share the same room with her instead of Kanan the nightmares were gone so what was the point. the only reason that I hadn't switched rooms back was because I felt safer with Kanan than anyone else. it was crazy but I felt like he was the closest I'll ever get to having a father. I was afraid to tell Kanan this of course because he's just my master and he couldn't be more attachment was against Jedi rules.
" well the thing is I'm taking both you and Ezra on a training mission it's a tough one it will determine if your meant to control the force if you're meant to become a Jedi or not." I nod my head Master Yoda and master Obi Wan told me that one day I would have to take a test that would tell me if I was meant to be a Jedi not all people who can control the force are meant to be Jedi. I look down I had hoped that I would not have to take the test because my thoughts were I was not like the others that I was not meant to be a Jedi that I would be a part of the dark side. I shake my head violently to get the thought out of my head I get up and head to the door but then I remember why I came into the room. I turn around take the bones out of my bag and hands one to Kanan. He looks at me with a confused look but I ignore it. I put the rest in my bag I put my bag on my bunk. I turn around and leave the room heading to my usual spot the kitchen the quietest an empty is placed on the ghost. Kanan comes and gets me when it's time to leave and we head to the Phantom. can get in the pilot's seat and me and as rested in the back. When we take off the back and sits in front of me and Ezra. He looks at us for a few minutes and then he speaks.
" this test as I said will determine if you were meant to become a Jedi. before when the Jedi Order was still around there are thousands of temples outpost set out throughout the galaxies well when the fall of the Republic came the holocrons holding their locations were taken by the Empire. very few temples are left. I want you to connect with the force try and find out where the temple is." Kanan says I look at a Ezra and he looks at me. I look at Kanan for seconds and close my eyes and focus the force surrounded me it was the only way we will be able to find the temple its all that was left the Masters work on the holocrons were gone and most of the old religion were gone we are broken lost but we would fix our selves back into the strong people we were once. I don't hear anything else everything else is closed off I can feel the force all around me and then I see it a large stone and something bright shining in the middle in a dark tunnel it looks brighter than the Sun and all the darkness. I open my eyes and look at as in Kanan there looking at me.
" I saw it's a massive stone and there's this amazing light inside I think I've seen it before I'm not sure where though I can leave you to it but I can't give you coordinates." I say excitement in my voice. I look at them and I frown." Ezra saw it first didn t?" I asked and Ezra starts to laugh.
" gotta be quicker than that! but so can I. I can lead us to it but I can't give you coordinates just like Lyra." Ezra says and I laugh. Kanan gets up and walks over to the pilot's seat he sits down me and Ezra lean over the shoulders of his chair so we can see out of the window. Kanan turns off the autopilot and looks at him Kanan had already known where we were going. Ezra looks upset because Kanan had already know where we're going. When we get out Kanan tells us to find a way in. he sits down and meditate while me and Ezra look for a way in. When we walk all the way around the stone sighs frustratedly.
" nothing I didn't find anything neither did Lyra! come on Kanan seriously at least give us a hint!" Ezra yells to Kanan. Kanan opens his eyes and looks at us.
" listen to the stone listen to a story what it wants." Kanan yells to us. I let out a breath and turn to the stone Ezra does the same. We put our hands on the stone at the same time and listen. the stone was about a master and a Padawan together working as one not as two working together not alone.
" the stone it wants to admit me. Period. No not me us master and padawan together!" Ezra says and I smile I was right. Maybe this mission this test what about working together not about differences but about teamwork about not working alone not taking all the glory.
We walk back to Kanan and use the Force to open the rock up and a door shows. It's just a giant hole in the rock. we walk in and actually walk as your looks around. In one corner is the corpse of a Jedi Master I can tell because of his robes the robes that Master Yoda and Master Obi Wan wore the last time I saw them. Ezra loses focus and the tunnel closes leaving us locked in this cave in this tune.
" you lost focus." Kanan and says looking at us with crossed arms. I shake my head and smile no one was perfect not even Ezra. I look around the cavern we are now in is dusty there are few pillars next to the path leading to what looks like a tunnel up ahead. there are two master Jedi bodies on the floor both dead.
" dead guys are distracting!" Ezra complaints to Kanan I roll my eyes and sigh.
" in here you'll have to face your worst fears and conquer them and there's no guarantee of success." Kanan says and Ezra starts to walk towards the tunnel.
"Oh I have plenty of faith! faith that you'll keep me on track." Ezra says walking towards the tunnel but I knew better to assume that Kanan was coming with us.
" I'm not coming with you." Kanan says matter-of-factly. Ezra turned around quickly and looks at Kanan.
" where will you be?" Ezra asks and Canaan gestures to the other Jedi. The bodies on the floor.
" I'll be here with them. Masters who's Padawans never returned." Kanan says.
" you're putting your life in our hands?" Ezra asks and I shake my head I knew Ezra would make it through he was strong confident and he had one reason to go through with this. to protect the ones he loved the same thing for me but the things I've done. being a bounty hunter and an assassin those things they lead you to being on the dark side. I knew better than anyone else alive.
" you put your training in mine." Kanan says and Ezra nods his head. training and a life or two different things how did you not get this! I find myself following Ezra into the tunnel unsure of what to do.
" wait what are we looking for?" Ezra asks as the door to the tunnel where in slides down slowly.
" nothing and everything!" Kanan yells to us falling to his knees. As we get down on the floor and so why we try to see underneath the door before it closes. I want to say something but I don't know what to say then the door closes before I can find what to say as well do something but Kanan's eyes fall on me before the door closed. SomethingI can't hear it over the beating of my heart I'm not ready for this not at all but its come like everything else comes right when you're not ready for it and you don't expect it to. we both get up and I look at he nods his head and walks on the tunnel I had a bad feeling about this a very bad feeling. Me and as we were walking to a wide openings that has three tunnels not counting the one we just came out of.
" man we should have brought the holocron." Ezra sighs. "Lothal Lofral Lothcat fun pick a path and all is done." Ezra says pointing at each tunnel in turn. I look at him and shake my head.
" Ezra really what would Kanan say!" I say looking at him.
" really a Ezra Lyra is right what happened to using the force!" Kanan and asks he walks up from behind us. I thought he was supposed to stay behind this is a Jedi test he wasn't supposed to interfere what was going on?
" what happened to trusting us?" Ezra asks a tone of anger in his voice.
" second thought thankfully come on." Kanan says as he takes the farthest left tunnel he takes off at a run it's almost impossible for me and Ezra to keep up. I speed up but still can't catch up.
" Kanan wait slow down." Ezra yells taking deep breaths. Kanan keeps on running but looks over his shoulder at us.
" I told you the Empire might have this place on surveillance we have to hurry! If we don't they could AHHH." Kanan stops talking and yells out in pain we can't see him anymore because he had ran around a corner.  As we run farther it gets darker.
"Kanan!" me and Ezra both yell at the same time. We run around the corner and all most run off of a drop off. I grabbed Ezra by the arm and pulled him back that's when we hear it. A lightsaber has opened and the red light fills the cavern showing the steep fall down a cliff. We turn around and see the Inquisitor in front of Kanan. Kanan holds his arm looking down when he looks at us you can see the pain in his eyes.
" I felt a disturbance in the force when the Jedi decided to bring you here at Padawan." the Inquisitor says looking at Ezra. I look at Kanan and he's looking down again. His eyes are closed he holds his arm as if it was cut it could have been worse. I slowly slide my hand back to the container that holds my lightsaber.
" what did you do to him?" I asked my voice shaking despite how hard I try to keep it from shaking.
" he will live for now." the Inquisitor says. he rushes forwards and I dive out of his way but Ezra steps backwards falling over the edge. His yells. That's all I hear. I scramble up and I watch him fall until I can't see him anymore. Something within me shrinks. tears burned the back of my eyes.
"Ezra!" I yell even though I know it's too late. I look up at the Inquisitor and see his smile.
" who shall die next?" the Inquisitor asks raising his eyebrows. I watch him stepping closer to me I slowly walk back until I hit the wall a smile flashes on to his face. My breathing becomes fast and I can't control it. my heart is thundering in my chest it feels like it's about to explode. Kanan murmurs something but I can't hear him over the pounding of my heart. My eyes flash to his and I see pain and fear in his eyes. Kanan gets up his lightsabers in his hand.
" I'll die before I let you hurt her!" Kanan and says pointing his lightsaber at the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor smiles swings around and hits Kanan's lightsaber. That's when the fight starts all I can do is watch I can't do anything else. Kanan's lightsaber goes left the Inquisitors goes right. The Inquisitor's lightsaber goes up Kanan's goes up as well. Then it happens the Inquisitor knocks Kanan down and I know if I don't run into help can and will die. I run up to him but the Inquisitr uses a chokehold. The choke hold was something very rare something that was hard to perfect it made it to where the person using the force can choke anyone for as long as they want sometimes it can kill you. I get lifted up into the air choking myself with my own hands I couldn't prevent it the force is strong with the Inquisitor. My legs kick not hitting the ground because im so high. my lungs demand for air but it doesn't come. Kanan and jumps up and attacks the Inquisitor taking his focus off of me I fall to the ground and gasp. The Inquisitor kicks Kanan in the stomach again and pushes him back with the force. I watch as the Inquisitor closes one side of his lightsaber and stabs Kanan in the chest with the other. A strangled gasp escapes me as I watch Kanan's hands head towards the lightsaber. The Inquisitor closes the other end of his lightsaber and pushes Kanan down throwing him into the darkness below.
"No Kanan no! No it's... It's not real. It can't be!" I say shaking my head the Inquisitor walks towards me and I walk backwards falling over the edge into the darkness like answering Kanan. Falling over the edge just as Ezra did when the Inquisitor came after him.
