Ezra's training had been going horribly he was supposed to concentrate on the blasts and director them to the home it's sitting on the rock to his left but the blast everywhere and anywhere but at the helmet. he would learn its hard to master after a week of it. I had hardly any time to figure it out but what does it matter? it was going to take a long time. he, Ezra, wasn't as connected to the force as I was but my parents must have been strong with force or I would be this situation. As they, sabine, Zeb, and Kanan trying to help Ezra how to direct a blast at a specific target I sit in my room on the top bunk. Lately I had been a dead zombie the fact that my father was a traitor stung very bad. Did my mother know? Was she a traitor too? Was she really even dead? Was my dad still alive? So many questions so few people to answer them.
"Hey Lyra the holonet is on Travis is sending out a message." She says and I get up.
"Thanks for telling me." I say and I follow her to the meeting room. "Did you Ezra?" I ask and laugh.
" well since he's the one who told me to watch the channel no I didn't forget him might want to sit down before the other steal the seat." Hera tells me and I laugh. When everyone gets in she replays the broadcast and they talk but I zone out. My father had worked for the Empire. I still couldn't believe that he had. And my mother? What about her? I needed answers but had no one to ask. Everyone finishes talking and leaves but me and Kanan.
"What's wrong? You've been off since you returned from the Sift." Kanan says as he sits down.
"I found out my father worked for the Empire and that's how he knew they were going to attack our home." I say. "His name was Amar Black. He's dead now." I say bitterly. Somewhere inside me I find a large part of me the wishes I was the one who killed him.
"Lyra how do you know he didn't have to?" Kanan asks and I shake my head.
"It doesn't matter anymore." I say and look at the table.
"It will always matter to you what he was because you know you may turn out just like him." Kanan says and my head snaps up.
"I will never be like him. I would rather die then work for the Empire. I know who I am." I say and look at him. Kanan looks at me for a minute and sighs.
"You can never be so sure about anything you would do well to remember that Lyra." Kanan says and I straighten up.
"Your right but one thing I just know for sure is that I will never be like him a coward." I say. I get up and leave this was not good I was getting rapped up in my past that it was effecting me badly. Who would I be? A Jedi one to keep the peace? Or a Bounty hunter and Assassin one who kills for a living? They were both a part of me and it's not easy to be one half of yourself. I needed time to be... Me to do what I hated but loved.
"We're going to Ezra's house you coming or what?" Kanan asks me and I look up at him. In my right hand is my lightsaber and in my left hand is my helmet.
"No I need some time." I say slipping my lightsaber back into it's holder. Kanan looks at me and I watch him.
"You choose who you are Lyra no one else." Is all he says and he's gone. I slip my helmet on and leave the Ghost and head to the bounty board.
When I get to the hidden bounty hunter meet house it's dark which helps me hide. I knock on the door and wait. The peephole opens and they look at me.
"Password?" He asks. I draw my lightsaber and change it's color switch and open it. The purple blade glows in front of me.
"Open the door or die." I say and he closes the people open the door. I walk in and everyone looks at me. I walk to my seat in a back table I usually sit in everyone watches me. When I get there one of the others bounty hunters walks over to me and pounds his first on the table.
"Well well look finally back why you come back Shadow!" he says. I grab my lightsaber opening and throw to his throat.
"If you know what's good for you you'll stop now." I say and he gulps.
"Yeah okay." He walks off and someone sits down with me. "Got a job? If not then move." I say my helmet changing my voice.
"I got a job and it's worth a good amount if you make the dead line." He says and I laugh.
"Okay what is it bounty or assassin?" I ask and everyone looks my way when they hear assassin.
"Assassination if you please." He says and I lean forwards. "A Imperial by the name of David Lamont he's caused so trouble and I want to make an example of them. I'll pay in advance if you're interested." He says and I laugh.
"This is the best one yet." I say. We talk about how much the assassination will cost and I end up getting 2756 credits for there assassination. He also gave me the information about where to attack. Was it a trap? Yes. Was I still going? Yes. Was I going to kill him? Yes.

It's dark and thirty minutes after the time I was supposed to arrive. I see him walk out of the building smile this was just to easy. I take aim and fire. I don't hear it but I see him fall. That's when they attack they come at me from everywhere but as fast as they appear I kill them. When I'm done there is a large pill of dead troopers on the ground but I don't bother to hide them. When I get back to the bounty board I get paid by a not so happy dealer. The holonet comes on and they show the aftermath of my attack.
When I leave I don't head to the Ghost to see the others I head to the Sift to give them the credits for food and supplies.

"Lyra where did you get all of this?" Steel asks and lie.
"I've been saving up I knew the Sift needed credits so there you go." I say and he looks at me.
"Where?" He asks again and I sigh.
"I took a job." I say and he nods his head.
"What if you were hurt?" He asks me and I look at him.
"You treat me like your my father." I say. At this Steel backs down.
"Sorry you still shouldn't go alone." He says and walks away. I sigh and leave the Sift because they didn't need me right now and Kanan was probably freaking out.

"Did you hear about that assassin?" Ezra asks and Kanan looks up.
"What assassin?" He asks.
"This assassin killed a imperial official last night." I say. "Don't worry I was no where near it." I say but he still looks at me strangely.
"I think I'll get something to drink." I say and I leave the cockpit. When Kanan enters he waists no time.
"You killed him didn't you?" Kanan asks and I shake my head.
"No I didn't Kanan." I say and he sits down.
"Lyra-." He starts but I stop him.
"Kanan I didn't kill him okay I ran into master Obi Wan and we talked." I say. Surprisingly he believes me. Another lie another secret how many more would I get before I break and tell them everything? I have no idea at all. Kanan drops the subject and we talked about training and when we'll train again but my mind is on the job and the dark part of me I fought to hide. One day they would find out or I would have to tell them. I dread that day and hope it never comes.
