12. First time meeting her?

 "SUA, I'M NOT DATING ANYBODY!" Im Jugyeong thought it was a good idea to talk about Dan in front of our friends one night. It had been only a few days since I saw her after two years. "Is she cute?" Kim Chorong asked, I rolled my eyes. "She's really pretty, but she has scars on her face." Im Jugyeong gestured to her nose and her cheek, where Dan's scars were.

"What's wrong with her scars? I think they only make her prettier." I unconsciously defended Dan, everyone looked at me surprised. "I didn't say they were bad, I just said she had them..." Im Jugyeong said in her defense. "You're defending your girlfriend, you go! Han Seojun!" Taehoon cheered for me, I only grew more flustered. I also didn't want them to get the wrong idea, especially Jugyeong.

"I'm not dating anybody, Dan is just an old friend." I assured them once more, "Oh, so she has a name?" Sua squealed. "Does she have a fancy surname? A common one? What's her full name? Is she definitely your type? What do you like about her?" Sua seemed a little too excited about Dan. "Orsetev, now please stop asking questions!" I rolled my eyes in annoyance. 

"I love this, so when will you introduce her to us?" Sua continued, I was about to explode. "Sua, just let it be. He said she was his friend only!" Ju Hyemin tried to quiet her down as she looked at me and then back at Sua. "You guys, Ms. Dan would not be comfortable hanging out with us. Han Seojun, tell them!" Im Jugyeong elbowed me and gestured to her wrists, handcuffs? She wanted me to tell them about Dan being an ex-convict.

"Ms. Dan? Oh gosh, she's older than you?!" Sua yelled in shock, Kim Chorong followed with a "that's hot as heck, that's defenitely a Han Seojun thing!" Putting his hands on his head. "It's not like that, I swear!" I tried to convince them once again. "This guy," Jugyeong said quietly only to later expose the truth. "Ms. Dan is an ex-convict, Han Seojun wouldn't date someone like that." She worded my thoughts a little oddly. "What?" Chorong seemed confused. "An ex-convict? You mean she was in jail?" Sua followed.

"That doesn't make her bad or anythi-

"Don't be confused, we know our boy would never date such horrible person. He wouldn't want to ruin his life like that." I watched as Jugyeong said these unexpected words. She talked about Dan as if she were some evil criminal. "Makes sense," "You got us there, Seojun" Kim Chorong laughed. "Dan is not a bad person, life just did her wrong..." I defended Dan, I looked at Jugyeong with slight disappointment. 

"Isn't that what you said two years ago, though?" Kim Chorong reminded me. That's right, the day I told him about Dan, except I didn't tell him who she was. I only said she was a suicidal freak and stuff, I would have never thought of it to sound so bad. "I didn't know her back then, I-"

"So she's the same prisoner you talked to us about two years ago?!" Kim Chorong looked at me in shock. "Kim Chorong, listen!" I spat. "Let's just drop it" Hyemin suggested. "Not until you apologize for speaking about her like that; after she risked her free life to save you, really?" I turned to Jugyeong, I was actually a little angry. "I didn't mean it in a bad way, you just sounded that way for the longest time I thought your mind would never change..." Jugyeong said in her defense.
