VENA MARLO shook off her helmet as she greeted Poe happily, he looked a bit bloodied up but beside that he seemed healthy, "Where's BB-8? And the map to Skywalker?"
"Long story Vena. Very, very long story," Poe said, "I need to see General Organa."
Leia was stood in the command centre when Poe came crashing in, "Dameron? Are you alright? You never made contact after Jakku and we heard the First Order was there."
"I'm good, but Jiang Sai isn't," Poe breathed out and Leia pointed to the door, "My office."
Once they were in the confines of the four walls Poe started rambling, "Alright! So I got taken by the First Order and they know BB-8 has the clue from Jakku, then a Stormtrooper called Finn broke me out but here's the shocking part, Jiang Sai was in on it. Jiang Sai! Why don't you look as shocked as you should? Anyway, Finn and I flew away on a TIE fighter but then he heard something about Jiang being caught by Captain Phasma or something along those lines and she never made it out."
Leia rubbed her temples as she shut her eyes, "There's some things you need to know Dameron. I probably should've told you this after your first run in but it was too risky," Leia said, "Jiang Sai is a cover. We were desperate and we needed to send someone undercover into the First Order. The only option to me was someone I had worked alongside for years, I'd known her since she was a child and she'd done plenty things like this before. General Naila Caddo," Poe's mouth hung open in shock, he'd heard about the great Naila Caddo from the Generals but it was always assumed she was a symbol of hope to keep the Resistance alive, "Yes, I know people here seem to think she's a myth, we kept her face separate from her name so undercover work would be easy, the only other person who knew her personally was Vena Marlo, they were friends when they were younger. Jiang Sai is Naila Caddo."
She watched as Poe's face changed from emotionless to shock, "I've been fighting one of ours for years. I feel like I made her job harder, I was such a pain in the ass. Granted she approached me first that time in the bar. But she never seemed- nice."
"She's always been good at that part. Separating emotions from reality," Leia said sadly, "She never builds relationships with anyone because in her words it's too easy to lose them. But we need to get her out, she can keep people out of her head easily but if Kylo Ren doesn't already know she's Resistance then he will soon enough, and he'll kill her."

KYLO REN stormed into the cell block angrily as he crashed the door open. Naila was sat on the floor, backed up against the wall, cut and bruised up as she stared into space.
