KIALAN ARTIS never knew her fate. She was a child when she was thrown into a fight against the Empire, to her there was no other life than war. Then she met the man who would change her life. William Caddo. An ordinary man who wanted to make a difference to the galaxy.

But Kialan's future was decided for her the second she got pregnant. With the Empire in ruins and the Rebels celebrating, Kialan and William made home on a small planet. They thought they were safe. They thought wrong.

With their baby girl only a year old, Kialan and the baby were taken into a deadly organisation, one that had been there before Vader. William couldn't bear the pain, he completely vanished from the galaxy, as had his wife and daughter. But Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker didn't give up on their old friends.

For years they searched for the three. But every lead gave them nothing. No step closer to finding them. After a while they had to stop, Luke started training Leia and Han's son and the galaxy forgot about the war heroes.

Years later a new threat emerged. An academy of child assassins lead by a powerful women. That's where they found Naila Caddo. An eighteen year old who wanted out of the system. A girl who had been through years of pain and suffering. It hadn't taken Leia and Han long to find out Naila was William and Kialan's daughter, she was just like them. Strong willed, a spark of fire, opinionated.

Kialan watched from the shadows as her daughter went from a highly trained assassin to a weak, emotional drunk. But she couldn't risk outing herself to the galaxy, too many people wanted her dead. Now, she didn't care.

"My daughter, making her return to us I hope."

Naila kept her blaster in her hand as her grip tightened, "Didn't realise you were that delusional. I'm here to destroy the First Order, and you now while I'm at it."

The elder woman stepped towards her daughter and put a hand to her face, Naila flinched as she did, "You've changed my daughter, but not on the inside. You're still that same scared little kid." Kialan pulled out a pair of cuffs and handed Naila to a Stormtrooper, "Take her away, I'll deal with her once the Resistance is gone."

Once again, Naila found herself in a locked cell. Granted she'd been upgrade from a blood stained floor to an also blood stained table. Silence embodied her. There was no screaming, no shuffling outside, no one yelling orders. Just silence. Maybe Naila should have listened to Cara, maybe they would've found a way out together. Or maybe they would meet the same fate, at least if Naila went through reconditioning Cara would be there to pull her out.

The door swung open and Kialan walked in, her guards stationed outside the door ready to intervene if necessary, "Naila. It's time to come back to your senses."

Just like Kialan, Naila's future had been decided for her when she was born. There was no other path for all she had known was the way of the war even when it was over. Kialan had made sure that if she couldn't be out there anymore, she'd make damn sure her daughter would be the new face. It was safe to say things went the wrong way.
