Chapter 9 - Snap

{No One's POV}

It has been a week now since Yun has sewed together Weiss and Ruby's relationship together. His chemistry with the team started getting much better that it even pulled the rest of his team in. RWBY would always ask somethings to TYPH. Of course, being their supervisor the team obliges to fill in their curiosity in being a huntsman.

Tako would always teach Ruby leader tactics and a bit of advise seeing she's the one leading. And talks to Yang about her fighting style. While Pan was often seen talking with Blake about some stuff they read. Hannah being Hannah didn't really helped that much but did give Weiss a few pointers in using her glyphs. On the hand, Yun was just there helping them whether it be physically, emotionally or mentally.

Currently, it was Combat Class with it's teacher being Professor Glynda. In the arena, Jaune and a boy named Cardin is seen doing a mock battle.  Though unfortunately from the looks of it, this has already turned into a one-sided battle.

Jaune is seen exhausted on the arena with Cardin there just looking at him smugly. He then tries to go for downward slash but Cardin easily steps aside. Not being able to recover from the attack he did on time, Cardin smacks him with his mace that sent him flying across the arena. Luckily, he manages to block it with his shield minimizing the damage he could've inflicted.

Jaune shakes it off and hold his sword with his two hands. He tries to strike Cardin only for his sword to collide with mace's handle. Both struggling for dominance over the other but it was clear that Cardin's winning.

Cardin: This is the part where you lose!

Jaune: Over my dead bo-

Suddenly getting cut off by Cardin hitting his abdominal area with his knee. Due to the sudden pain, he drops his sword and stumbles back then falls to the ground in pains. Cardin then raises his mace in the air getting ready to bring it down on Jaune. Fortunately, the buzzer was heard going off and Cardin immediately stopped what he was doing. The lights turn back on and Glynda is seen walking into view.

Glynda: Students, as you all can see, Mr. Arc's aura has now dropped to red. In a tournament style duel, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle, and that the official may call the match.

Jaune was still laying on the ground holding the spot where Cardin kneed him.

Glynda: Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please do try to refer on your scroll during the combat. It's important to gauge your aura for it will be your deciding to factor to whether go for an offensive or defensive approach. Wou wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf, now, would we?

Cardin: Speak for yourself.

Glynda: Moving on, remember everyone, the Vytal Festival is just only a few months away! It won't be long before students from other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale.

Currently, team RWBY and JNPR seen seated on one of the cafeterias table. Nora was now telling what is happening in her dream, the rest were doing their own things.

Nora: So...there we were in the middle of the night!

Ren: It was day.

Nora: We were surrounded by Ursai...

Ren: They were Beowolves.

Nora: Dozens of them!

Ren: Two of them.

Nora: But they were no match and in the end, Ren and I took them down and made boatloads of lein selling Ursai skin rugs.

Ren: *sigh* She's been having this dream for nearly a month now
