— the boy in the iceberg: act one.
fire.

senna watched as the curtains rose into the air, revealing a pretty well done set of the south pole and a small boat floating on fake water.

a girl with way too much makeup and poofy hair and a boy with the thickness of a pencil, muskrat-beaver teeth and a ponytail which looked like it was made out of hay were sitting on the boat.

senna knew they were katara and sokka. not to be mean or anything but they looked horrible.

"sokka, my only brother! we constantly roam these icy south pole seas, and yet never do you find anything fulfilling!"

"all i want is a full feeling in my stomach! i'm starving!" the sokka actor said, waving his hands around and holding his stomach.

the entire audience laughed, except for the gaang. sokka and katara shared a look of disappointment. well, they were the ones who wanted to go, so what were they expecting?

"is food the only thing on your mind?"

"well, i'm trying to get it out of my mind and into my mouth! i'm starving!" the man said with a goofy grin.

the real sokka groaned from behind senna, slouching in his seat, "this is pathetic! my jokes are way funnier than this!"

toph was cracking up, "i think he's got you pegged!"

the katara actor went on a monologue, exaggerating her emotions and gestures, "every day, the world awaits a beacon to guide us, yet none appears! still, we cannot give up hope! for hope is all we have! and we must never relinquish it, even to our dying breath!"

zuko held in a laugh, earning a glare from katara, "well, that's just silly. i don't sound like that."

both toph and senna were enjoying themselves a little too much. tears were practically coming out from the girls eyes, "oh, man! this writer is a genius!"

"best play i've ever seen!"

a bright light came from the scene as a model iceberg rose from the ground.

"it appears to be someone frozen in ice, perhaps for a hundred years," the large woman stated.

the sokka actor approached the fake iceberg, "but who? who is the boy in the iceberg?"

aang was leaning from his seat, eager to see. senna knew his excitement wouldn't be worth it since this play already sucked but it was really funny.
