the group began to panic.
they all rushed to aangs room in the beach house, hoping he was there. but, he wasn't.
he was just gone.
"look at this," sokka said, holding up aangs good old staff, "he left it. that's so strange."
"aangs not in the house. let's check the beach," zuko said, the others all nod.
when the group arrived at the beach, all they saw were some footprints which looked like aangs, "it just ends," senna said, pointing at the water.
"so, he went for a midnight swim and never came back?" toph asked.
"maybe he was captured."
"i don't think so," sokka spoke up, examining the footprints, "there's no sign of a struggle."
"i bet he ran away again," toph said, sennas eyes went wide.
"what do you mean again?" she asked, pretty confused.
"you were you know not around," katara tried her best to explain, "and he ran off."
"oh."
"i don't think he did," sokka said, catching back his sister and sennas attention, "he left behind his glider and appa."
"then what do you think happened to him sokka?" senna asked, getting annoyed.
"it's pretty obvious," sokka started, "aang mysteriously disappears before an important battle? he's definitely on a spirit world journey."
"but if he was, would his body still be here?" zuko questioned sokka.
sokkas confident expression dropped, "oh yeah, forgot about that."
"then he's got to be somewhere on ember island. let's split up and look for him," katara suggested.
the moment katara said that, toph immediately clung onto zuko, "i'm going with zuko! what?! everyone else went on a life changing field trip with zuko. now it's my turn."
senna rolled her eyes and just decided to look around for aang by herself. sokka was with suki and katara was on her own as well.

about an hour later, the group met up again, with aang still nowhere to be found, "i guess you all didn't find him either, huh?"
"yeah."
"it's like he just disappeared without a trace," zuko sighed.
suddenly, toph stood up, planting her feet on ground and listened, "hey, wait a minute. has anyone noticed momo is missing, too?"
