Tsukauchi smiled as he saw Shinso walk into the station.
"I was told you needed me?"
"Yes." He paused, forming this statement very carefully. "I am aware that your quirk can brainwash people into speaking?"
The boy nodded. "Yeah. I've trained long and hard to make that happen. Why?"
"I have a...rather difficult person to deal with."
Shinso looked through the one-way mirror, where he could see Oma sitting in the chair, his expression blank. "You want me to use brainwashing on this...kid?"
"To be fair, it's a rather difficult situation to deal with. He...isn't from around here."
"What do you mean?"
Tsukauchi sighed, explaining the ultimate situation to Shinso, who didn't seem too surprised.
"Hmm. That's an odd situation to be in. But why is he here?"
"One of his friends, Shirogane Tsumugi...killed herself."
"...What?"
"We don't know why. We have reason to believe that he knows a lot more than he lets on, but he won't budge. He was the one who found the body."
"Why won't he just tell you himself?"
"That's what we hope to figure out. I knew that your quirk would be very useful here. Please, help us solve this mystery."
Shinso paused, considering. This is one of the first times someone's wanted me to use my quirk. Everyone sees my quirk as villainous. Maybe this will help them see that I want to be a hero. "...I'll try my best. But I'd like to see how he normally behaves so that I can use my quirk effectively."
"Of course." Tsukauchi smiled. "Although, a fair warning; he is rather difficult to be around."
Tsukauchi led Shinso into the interrogation room, where they were greeted with a smile.
"Hey there! How are you doing, Mr. Detective?" Oma grinned.
"I'm doing...fine."
"You know, my classmate Saihara-chan is a detective two! He solved a case faster than any policeman, and he's just a teenager!"
"You've told me this, Oma."
The boy turned to Shinso. "Hmm, but who's this emo kid? He looks a lot like me. Hey, are you the emo version of me from another universe?"
Shinso stayed silent. How can this kid be so cheerful?
"Not one for speaking, eh? Well, that's okay. I'd rather speak to Saihara-chan."
Tsukauchi sighed. "Oma. I know you want to talk to Saihara. He'll be here to pick you up once we have enough information about this case. But we need you to talk."
Oma sighed, his cheery demeanor changing just a little."You're wondering if I did it, right?"
"...Aizawa has told us that you kept Shirogane's suicide note."
"That fucking mole." Oma mumbled with a frown. "And I thought I could trust Aizawa-chan! WAAAAAAH!" He started to sob crocodile tears.
"Please stop."
"Fine, if you're so insistent."
Shinso finally spoke up. "Tsukauchi told me you'd be difficult to deal with, but this is abnormal."
"...Wow, Tsukauchi. You certainly are different than Saihara-chan. I guess not all detectives are kind-hearted and sexy."
Tsukauchi froze. "What-"
