Chapter 6: A Day at School
Renjun was sitting on the couch when his phone rang.
"Hello, is this Mr. Huang?" a voice asked on the other end.
"Yes, this is him," Renjun replied.
"Alright, um, we have a problem. Your son Jikyu has been acting up lately, and today he threw his cup of milk at one of my students."
Renjun gasped. He definitely didn't raise Jikyu to do something like this. He sighed. "I'm on my way."
Renjun arrived at the twins' school shortly. The first thing he saw was Jikyu sitting in the office, his face flooded with tears, head down.
"Ah! There you are, Mr. Huang," the teacher said as Renjun walked into the office. "Jikyu here threw his cup of milk at a fellow student."
Renjun sighed and knelt down to Jikyu's level. "Jikyu, why did you do that?"
"B-because he kissed my cheeks!" Jikyu stammered.
"What?" Renjun and the teacher said in unison.
"H-he said, 'Jikyu, you are really cute,' and he kissed me, Daddy!" Jikyu explained, his voice trembling.
Renjun looked at him in awe before giving him a hug. "Did you not like the kiss, bub?"
Jikyu started to cry even more. "One of them started laughing at me, so I threw my milk at them, Daddy!"
Renjun let out a sigh. "You can't do that, Jikyu. You don't want to get in trouble. If someone makes fun of you, just ignore them, bub."
Jikyu nodded, wiping his tears with his shirt. "Okay, Daddy. Can I go back to class with my new boyfriend?" he asked, giving his dad Jaemin's signature aegyo.
"Yes, but no boyfriends, Jikyu," Renjun said, shaking his head.
Jikyu pouted but nodded. "Okay, Dada! No boyfriends!" he smiled before running off to his class.
"Thanks, Mr. Huang. You can call me Taeyong. I'm Jikyu's teacher," he introduced himself.
"Thanks, Taeyong, for giving me a call. Have a nice day," Renjun replied, shaking his hand before leaving.
