Episode
Nineteen:Several hours of driving on the smooth snowy road. The sun began to set and the sky gradually darkened to the East. Whoever were the previous owners of this vehicle burned a decent playlist. With my eyes focused on the road ahead I couldn't help, but wonder if Ethan was telling the truth of my brother's whereabouts.
Before I took his fucking head off I interrogated him with savagery and brutality. He told me John planned everything from the start to finish. Informing Charles of our war tactics to letting Abigail infiltrate our base to creepily observe each of us, but most anxiously wanted to slit the throats of Paige and Adam while they were asleep, but was under oath not too.
And taking us to Mohawk Valley so that John could deliver us to Ethan just so that he could have us captured and tortured. Ethan also mentioned John not only made a deal with him and Charles, but also made a deal with Lucian Gray, leader of The MidNight Riders. I swear Ethan's tongue better not be fucking weak! That sick fuck loves to hide behind lies and deceit.
Unfortunately everything that was said in the room was undoubtedly true. I know lair's I've been around dogs long enough to know what fleas fucking look like. Just thinking about it raises my blood pressure. I knew John was suffering from manic depression, but I didn't know how worse his illness had gotten. I should've put him down when I had the chance.
I want to hold him accountable, but how could I? He's sick. I am to blame for all that's happening. Regardless having said that come rain or shine this catastrophe was eventually gonna happen even if the scenario was played differently. Just you wait another half hour, John... I really wish things were different, but it ain't no more.
Speaking of the girl, she slept through most of the trip to Washington, DC. In all honesty I do feel bad for the kid. I'm just glad I got to her on time before her spirituality was taken under evil predicament. I'd just hope one day she moves past it. I know it's much easier said than done, but she's gotta find peace of mind.
Yet, who am I to talk? I killed the man who was responsible for my wife's death. I know nothing of peace for peace taught me violence. I'm well aware that revenge is a fool's game that can leave a soul blind. But in order to live in peace, you gotta cause a little chaos in your wake. Suddenly, as my mind drifted back into focus my favorite 70s song finishes playing, and changes to a vulgar song I never heard of before.
Paige slowly awakens and stares at the car radio quietly with total awkwardness. We both turned our heads slowly at the same time looking at each other with awkward expressions and then slowly looked away from each other. I immediately shut off the car radio and we sat in silence after that.
Sam: Slept well, kid?
Paige: Where are we?
Sam: Gettysburg.
Paige: Are we close to Lyons?
Sam: Somewhat.
Paige: Somewhat... We are heading to Lyons, right? if we're not headed to Lyons then where are we heading to, Sam?
Sam: Washington DC.
Paige: Why are we heading to DC? There's nothing there for-
Sam: Because there's a sick man waiting for me there that needs me to put' em to rest. Once that's finished then I take you to Lyons... You have my word.
