Kiss

Kai's arm was wrapped righting around me protectively. I felt safe in his embrace.
"Mianhae." Kai said without looking at me.
"What?"
"I'm sorry. I wasn't fast enough. I wasn't there to protect you. Mian."
i looked up at him in shock. He's sorry? After everything... He's the one sorry?
"I'm the one who should be sorry." I say stopping in my tracks. Kai turned and stood In front of me. Hands on my shoulders and lean down so we were face to face.
"Sueyoung. I will always be here for you. I want to be the one to protect you. Like when we were kids. I know you haven't looked in the charm but listen... I.. I love you. God I love you. I was so happy to hear you would be coming home. And now that you are my feelings were rekindled. Seeing you with Chanyeol..." He sighed and closed his eyes. His head hung low. Heavy with his words. He confessed to me! In person. My heart fluttered, my checks reddened. A smile made its way to my face. I cupped Kai's face in my hands bringing his up to face me. Tears ran down his face as he looked at me.
"Kim JongIn, I love you. My love from the past is just as strong now." I kissed him softly. Saving the moment. His lips were soft and silky. In a second he kissed me back. His hand moved to the back of my neck, deepening the kiss. His other hand pulled me by the waist bringing me closer. There was no space between us. My hands wrapped around his neck. The kiss turned passionate and leaving me breathless. I broke away for air. We were both panting but smiling.
"Why haven't we kissed before?" Kai joked. I smack his chest as I turn my face. I stayed in his embrace for a little longer and he spread small kisses on my face.
"I should probably get you home." Kai sighed.
"Yeah, probably." I answer.
We walk to my house..hand in hand. This is what I've always wanted. I didn't have this feeling with Chanyeol. This was something stronger. I look up at Kai happy what just happened. Once at my apartment building Kai stopped and pulled me into him.
"Kiss me." He said seriously and looking deep into my eyes.
"Now? Again?" I ask looking around. I mean this guy is a kpop idol in public. There weren't many people around but still.
"Ne, kiss me."
