it's euros final day and i feel so excited to be able to say i get to experience this as it's happening for the first time in 55 years.
(correct me if i'm wrong)
i've been on facetime to mase all morning but he says his nervous but excited. no matter what the outcome is tonight i'm proud of all of them no matter what.
when we arrived at wembley it felt so so real. everyone was happy and excited which felt soo good. screams were filled across the whole stadium everyone eager to watch the game.
it had started and three minutes in Luke Shaw score for england making us in the lead. all england fans went crazy truly in belief of the trophy can be ours. but then in the second half italy got there equaliser which led us into extra time. mase had been subbed off. we were still unable to maintain a lead in the extra time which faced us to penalties.
(i'm not sure wether you want to relive the penalties but so i'll just skip to after sakas penalty)
heartbreak. it's all anybody felt who supported england. seeing the players faces of pure sadness was heartbreaking. Italy had won the euros. england deserved the chance to have that title but italy took it from us.
i couldn't wait another second of just watching my brother and boyfriend in tears so me and liv raced down to the pitch to comfort them.
"baby" i shouted running over to mason allowing him to cry on my shoulder. "shhh it's ok. it just wasn't meant to be. but you did so good everyone is so proud. me especially" i reassured him stroking his hair to calm him down.
"b-but everyone- the whole coun-try were counting on us" he sobbed looking up at me a little.
"and you did the best you could. we haven't won in 55 years i'm sure they are used to it and understand" i told him, cupping his face with my hands looking into his eyes.
he stayed hugging me for another two minutes as i calmed him down.
"thank you" he muttered resting his head on my chest.
"for what" i asked caressing his face.
"being there when i need you most" he told me looking at me again.
"i always will be. you don't needed to thank me" i said laughing slightly.
after this i walked over to declan who looked just as upset as what mason did.
"gigi" he smiled slightly hugging me tight.
"i'm so proud of you" i whispered hugging him back.
"your saying that after we just failed" he said pulling away.
"and look at how good you have done to get this far. you still have the world cup to do so don't stress yourself about this one too much ok" i told him smiling to help him feel more at ease.
"thanks gi. i'm going to have to come to you for more advice"he replied laughing slightly.
"hey what are little sisters for" i laughed back.
