Gojo walked into the room all of you decided to hang around in. "Oh, good, Y/n you're actually here. Perfect."
You looked up at the freakishly tall man. "Why?"
"I have a friend for you to meet." He walked over to the door and stuck his head out. "Come here, she's inside!"
He came back into the room and behind him a blonde male wear sunglasses and a suit walked into the room.
Gojo had his signature grin on his face and began introducing you to the new man. "This man here, is Nanami Kento- a grade one sorcerer who's a year younger than me."
You still didn't know what to make us of, but it seemed like everyone else knew Nanami. "Um... hi?"
Nanami stepped away from Gojo, pushing his glasses up farther on the bridge of his nose. "I'm guessing you hadn't been informed by Gojo."
You tipped your head to the side, making sure it didn't touch Okkotsu or Inumaki- both wanted to sit beside you as always. "Informed about what?"
Nanami sighed, giving a quick glare to Gojo (who turned away quickly) before turning back to you. "Sakusa-"
"Call my Y/n. I have a twin brother and I don't like being addressed by my last name." You interrupted.
Nanami nodded. "Y/n, I've been watching you from a distance."
Itadori stared at Nanami blankly. "That's kinda creepy, Nanamin."
Nanami ignored him. "You do know what grade you are, correct?"
Again: the utmost confusion from you. "No?"
Nanami shot another glare at your supposed "teacher". "Semi grade one."
Inumaki smiled beside you, giving a slight hand gesture to tell you to read his thoughts. "Same as me! Isn't that great?"
You smiled under your mask and nodded, focusing on Nanami again. "Ok?"
Nanami let out another sigh. "Do you know how sorcerers get promoted?"
"What? You guys get promoted? The rankings don't just happen naturally?"
Nanami, at this point, was about to punch Gojo. "It would seem that your teacher has neglected to inform you of how things work among us sorcerers."
I looked over at the man avoiding Nanami's cold gaze. "Uhh Gojo? Why didn't you tell me how anything works?"
Gojo flinched and turned away from you. "Might've slipped my mind."
You sighed in frustration, turning back to Nanami again. "I'm sorry, but you might have to explain."
Nanami shook his head. "No, I figured that I might. You see, in order for a sorcerer to go up in rank, someone would need to put in a recommendation for where said sorcerer should be placed. I hope you're aware of the different grades?"
You nodded. "Yes. Grade 4, grade 3, grade 2, semi grade 1, grade 1, and then the more powerful sorcerers and curses are considered special grade."
"Yes, it's good that I don't have to explain. To continue, you would need a recommendation from a sorcerer that you're not in the care of in order to go up in rank. To further explain, Gojo can't recommend you to be grade 1 since he's your teacher. Do you understand that?"
"Of course. I'm not an idiot."
Nanami nodded, glad that you understand better than Itadori. "I'm here to tell you, that I'm the one who recommended you to semi grade 1. I haven't been in contact with you until now, so it was able to go through without a problem."
