Become One?

You walked into your room, expecting to find Inumaki. But for some reason - unknown to you - your boyfriend was nowhere in sight.

"Toge?" You called out into the room, hoping for a response. There was nothing in return.

You shrugged it off, thinking he might just be on a mission. You grabbed a change of clothes and went into the bathroom to finally shower. Your last mission had taken 10 days and you were exhausted.

Yes, you would've loved nothing more than to be greeted by your boyfriend with a loving embrace. You wouldn't have even minded if Inumaki wanted to have a long conversation or join you in your shower. A part of you just wanted him to be there physically- a very big part.

A few nights ago, you got a text from Atsumu and Kiyoomi- informing you that Inumaki had been over and "spoke" with them. You didn't know the reason, nor the contents of their conversation- neither of them would tell you. But that same night, you had an unusual dream about Inumaki.

That dream had reminded you of how Inumaki acted the morning you had to leave for your mission. And it consumed all of your thoughts. It became distracting- so distracting to the point where you almost messed up your mission.

'If he asks to have sex again, I definitely won't turn him down. Maybe we could use absolutely no protection.... I wouldn't mind having kids- it doesn't matter that I'm still a teenager in high school. If it's with Toge, I'll do it without hesitation- won't even give it a single thought.'

You finished up with your shower, putting on shorts/sweatpants and one of Inumaki's hoodies. You laid on your bed and curled up in the blankets.

'It still smells like Toge....'

You soon drifted off into a soft slumber as you inhaled the leftover scent of Inumaki from when we got up an hour before your arrival.

Inumaki was walking around, just finishing a quick 45 minute mission- quick in comparison to your missions that last for a few days to over a week. He sighed, knowing he should start heading back to the school. He doesn't want to though- he knows your missions take longer cuz you go farther away and usually have more to do. Inumaki refuses to go back to your shared dorm- he simply doesn't want to when you're not around.

As he stepped onto campus grounds, Okkotsu had walked over to him.

Okkotsu gave a big smile. "Hey, Toge. Where ya been?"

"Tuna mayo."

"You should've come back sooner."

Inumaki raised a brow, tilting his head to the side. "Tuna?"

"Y/n got back about half an hour ago. I think she's in your guys' room now."

Inumaki nodded. "Cod roe." He ran off, heading back to the dorm room.

When he opened the door, there you were- laying on the bed, asleep. He walked over to your sleeping form, smiling lovingly. He carefully sat down on the edge of the bed beside you. He just watched you sleep.

You, however, weren't fully asleep. You opened your eyes slightly to see Inumaki. "Toge? Where'd you go?"

He tensed slightly, worried he woke you. "I was just out on a mission. Did I wake you?" He began gently caressing your hair.

You sat up slightly, leaning onto him. "No. I wasn't sleeping heavily. I'm just glad you're here. I missed you." You wrapped your arms around him.

Inumaki smiled, relaxing and wrapping his arms around you. "I missed you too. How was your mission?"

"Exhausting. I just wanted to come back and spend time with you."

He kissed your forehead. "You can spend all the time with me that you want."

You gave a tired smile. "Good.... Also, why did you go talk to Omi and Tsumu the other day while I was out?"

Inumaki remained silent, not even letting a single thought out- the fear of you reading his mind is something he's now feeling for the first time. He was unsure of how you'd react to these new thoughts he's been having, worrying you wouldn't want to be around him if you found out.

You noticed his silence, not liking it oje bit. "What is it? You know you can tell me, right?"

Inumaki didn't look at you. "I was talking about a problem I was having." Technically not a lie, but it's not the full truth.

You felt slightly hurt that he didn't try talking to you about the problem, worrying thoughts running through your head. "Like what? And why didn't you tell me?"

"I was too embarrassed to say anything to you. I was scared of how you might react if I told you. And you were also on a mission, I didn't want to risk distracting you."

You felt your heart melt with how sweet and considerate he is to you. "Ok, I understand. But I'm here now, so let's talk. Remember, communication is key to a healthy relationship. Can you tell me what your problem was?"

Inumaki looked into your eyes. "Well, first I wanted your brother to know how our relationship has been going."

"Oh... thanks, actually. I totally forget to tell him with how busy I've been getting."

He nodded. "And um... Atsumu stopped your brother from potentially killing me cuz of someone I might have said...."

Your eyes widened. "What did you even say?!"

He looked away again, face turning crimson. "That I really wanted to take our relationship further...."

You gave a blank stare (cuz you're still dense as fuck). "Huh?"

Inumaki shifted, becoming uncomfortable in a certain area. "You know... how I was the morning before you left?"

"Yeah? Why?"

"It was about that."

You moved and gave him a soft kiss if the cheek. "Do you still want to do it with me?"

He slowly turned to make eye contact with you, nodding slightly. "Yeah...."

You smiled at him, gently pulling him further onto the bed- causing him to straddle over you. "Then let's do it."

His eyes widened, his blush only getting darker. "Like, now?"

You nodded. "Mhm. After I left on my mission, I started thinking. If it's with you... I want to do everything."

He smiled, leaning down to kiss you. "I love you so much Y/n."

"I love you too, Toge."

"Let's become one."
