Jack slammed his fist into the couch and began whispering to himself.
Mark, Kelly, and Carl were standing across from the man with the gas mask. He held a semi automatic in his hands as he grinned, but of course nobody could see that.
Jack said to Grey," Stay here. I gotta go help the others."
Grey whimpered and placed his head on Jack's left hand. Jack smiled and said," Don't worry. I won't take long."
Grey then sat down as Jack ran to the front door and closed it behind him. All he could think about was saving his friends, he forgot that Karen was coming back with groceries.
Jack ran as fast as he could down the street without stopping. He almost got hit by multiple cars, but that didn't stop him from running. He bursted the flames on his hands to help him hop over some cars.
He gritted his teeth and said quietly under his breath," Just wait guys. I'm on my way."
He then had flashbacks of that dream he had when the bright beam of light knocked everyone unconscious. He remembered seeing all of his friends dead with someone talking to him.
He gritted his teeth harder, grinding his teeth together while he thought," Maybe that guy is the person that was in my dream." He then got to the highway entrance as he thought," Finally."
Meanwhile...
Mark stared at the man and said," Why'd you do it?"
The man rubbed his habd against the semi automatic and said," Villains have many reasons as to why they commit such crimes. Was it that I was raised into this, or maybe it is that I suffered extreme trauma? Which is more cliche do you think?"
Carl walked up behind Mark and said while adjusting his glasses," This villain is named Anxiety. There are many cases and news reports involving this man. He's extremely dangerous and a complete wild card."
Mark gulped and said," Nothing like a first real villain to fight huh?"
Anxiety shifted the gun and said," Look, I'm gonna give you a chance. You walk away. Go back home to wherever the hell you little rug rats came from. You act like none of this ever happened and you get to live a good life without me trying to harm you."
Mark clenched his fists while shaking and said," I-I can't do that."
He then thought to himself," Shit... what am I saying? I'm scared as hell right now. He has a gun?! He's an actual villain?!"
Carl noticed he was shaking in fear. He was already scared enough as it was. He knew that Mark rarely gets scared so it made Carl even more terrified than what he had already been.

Kelly then took a deep breath and said," We will not be leaving. You're putting innocent lives on the line besides the ones you've already killed. You're a monster."
Mark and Carl looked at Kelly in surprise. Anxiety shook his head and said," Me? A monster? Little girl you don't know one thing about me, yet you call me a monster confidently. Your ignorance will stop you from becoming a hero. I'll give you one last chance because I know you guys are scared shitless."
He then aimed the gun at Mark's head and said," So how about it? You kids still gonna pretend to play hero? You'll probably die and your blood will be mine... I can run some pretty crazy experiments with your powers as well. Look, I'm trying to remain civilized. Just leave so you don't die. Simple."
Everyone remained silent for a few minutes until Anxiety sighed and said," Fine. I guess you'll just die now."
Kelly, Mark, and Carl were shaking in fear as Anxiety squinted with his finger on the trigger. Just as he was about to pull the trigger, Jack jumped in front of them with his fists burning with flames. He grinned and said," Sorry I was a little late guys."
Anxiety smirked under his gas mask and said quietly," Just as planned. Jack has arrived."
