Flashbacks (Episode 8)

Jack ran after them quickly and seen that they entered an abondoned junk yard. He slowed down to listen and hear if they were talking by a chance until Mark tapped him on the shoulder, scaring him. Jack jumped and said," What the hell man?!" Mark shrugged and said," I seen you running so I decided to follow you and see what's up." Jack sighed and said," Alright so I seem some dude running from a girl with a hood, she had her hand in her pocket as if she had a weapon. Can't just let someone die knowing that I can try and do something to stop it." Mark crossed his arms and said," Says Mr. I don't wanna be a hero. Weird situation huh?" Jack turned his head around the corner to see where the two people went as Mark was still mocking him. Jack then said hesitantly," They're gone. I don't see them anywhere." Mark shrugged and said," Then let's go in and save the dude." Jack said while stretching," Do you remember what happened the last time you charged into somewhere? You almost died." Mark frowned as Jack continued," Although I do think you're right. The girl must've caught up to him by now, and if that's the case he could be getting mugged or worse, killed. Let's go Mark."

Jack and Mark swiftly walked through the abondoned junk yard. They did so without making a sound, except the sound of Mark grunting because of a leg cramp. Mark whispered while in pain," Bro I got a major leg cramp." Jack rolled his eyes and whispered back," Then go home then, I'll handle things from here." As they were talking, a huge pile of sulfuric acid swopped across the area forming a massive puddle. Jack and Mark both jumped onto a destroyed car in the junkyard to avoid getting touched. A boy then screamed," You bitch! You think you can stop him by taking out his second in command? That will only make him angrier." Jack and Mark peeked around the junk and debris to see the boy being surrounded by the acid. Jack clenched his fists and said," Watch this Mark. I seen this in a movie once." He ignited his hands, flying just a little over the acid and hit a hard drift igniting his feet. He stepped on the ground where the boy was in a split second, grabbed Joey, and his feet bursted with flames as the acid fell. Jack managed to just barely get away while holding Joey. He flew back to Mark as Mark watched him in amazement. Joey pushed himself out of Jack's hands and said," Leave me the hell alone, I got better things to be doing." Jack rolled his eyes and said," I just saved your damn live dumbass." Joey shrugged and said," And that's your problem. I never asked to be saved." Jack shrugged and said," Who knows maybe I'll accidentally drop you into the acid." Joey put his hands up frantically and said," Wait please don't, I was joking I swear." The girl standing down in the acid (Ali) looked pissed. She raised her hands as Jack said," Oh so you do want me to save your life?" Joey said," No, I just want to get out of here." Jack faced his ear to Joey and said," What was that? No. So I'll drop you into it instead, bet." He grabbed Joey's shoulder as Mark pointed towards Ali and said," Guys. I don't think she's in mood for you two to be arguing." The acid then lifted the junk where they were standing off the ground and into the air. Jack and Joey both looked over terrified when they seen Ali grinning at them as she said," This is a big haul. You will all die now." She then created a fountain of acid. The acid shot out and up into the air, about to land on top of them. Jack gritted his teeth hard and grabbed Joey and Mark while igniting his feet. He zoomed away from there while tasting his own blood as he bit his bottom lip.
He placed them down outside the junkyard and said," You two go. I'll take her down myself." Mark tried to stop him, but Jack already flew off by igniting his feet. Joey sat there staring and Mark blankly. He said," I dropped the boxes because of him." Mark sighed and said," Please just shut up."

Jack flew towards her while his feet and hands were burning hot with flames. Ali looked at him with a pissed off expression and said," Where did you take the other two?" Jack clenched his fists and said," Can you hold on a minute? Chill, I want to talk first." Ali waved her hand yelled," There's nothing to talk about you lackey!" A wave of sulfuric acid launched forwards at Jack. It brushed the skin on his face a little as he tried not to make a sound. He then clenched his fists and realized something that he read on a magazine the other day. It read," Beings who wear gloves to contain and hold back their powers, some of them may go on a complete rampage and seem like serial killer." It isn't just gloves they wear, but Jack remembered seeing her with gloves as she ran over while chasing the boy. He gritted his teeth and said," So that's it huh?" It then began to rain again. Jack looked up and said," Wait... FUCK NO!!" He then fell upon the rain touching the flames on his hands and feet. The wave of acid went crashing down after him as he fell into an even bigger puddle of acid.
Jack screamed in agony from the burning of the rain on the flames before closing his eyes tightly.

6 years before...

Young Jack sat outside on the steps of his backyard pouting. His father walked into the backyard and said," Ready to play some baseball kid?" He then noticed Jack had a frown. He sat next to him and said," What's wrong Jacky?" Jack looked at his dad as if he were about to cry. He then said," All the other kids in school pick on me for not having any powers. I wish I had some cool power like you dad." His dad put his hand on his head and said," Don't worry about it, I'm sure it'll manifest eventually. You know, your mother was a late bloomer. Didn't manifest her powers until she was 13. I had to protect her from all the bullies and everything... I miss those days, but that's not the point. The point is I'm sure you'll get your powers. It just takes time." He then rubbed Jacks hair while standing up. He grabbed the ball and said," Alright Jacky, come on. Let's play some baseball." Jack wiped his tears away and stood up to grab the baseball bat. He aimed it high as his dad began to get ready to throw it. His dad said ready," Now!" As Jack swang the bat, he remembered all the things his father described his mother and older brother being like. Tears fell from his eyes as flames shot out from his hands. Jack missed the ball, but tears of joy fell from his eyes. Jack's father smiled while running up to him and cheering. He picked up and said," Let's go get ice cream to celebrate." Jack smiled while hugging his dad tightly."

Present...
Jack reached his hand out after immidietly waking up as he said," Dad?" He then looked up at the ceiling and realized he was in his bed at the orphanage. He sighed and said," Man... That was one rough dream." He looked over and seen Carl leaning a book down while looking at him. He said," You're very lucky there was a hero in the neighborhood. You almost died by that girl with the poison." Jack went to stand up when Mark walked into the room and pushed him back down. Jack looked up and realized that Mark had huge bandage on his left arm. Jack jumped up and yelled," What the hell happened!?" Mark said with a nervous smile," It's nothing, just a little cut from saving your ass." Carl sipped a cup of coffee and said," Mark charged in to save you after it started raining, while doing so, he ended up slamming into a glass car saving you at his top speed. The girl was still ruthlessly attacking you guys, but a hero came to save you guys. Apperently it was one of those beings who wear certain clothing or jewelry to seal their powers. Also to keep the power from fully taking over." Jack looked at the sky through the window and said," Called it."
