"Commander, there's no sign of the girlfriend. Place looks like it's been deserted for days. We found traces of a white powder in footsteps and car tracks in the backyard and the garage." Hondo radioed in.
Hicks responded "It must be cement... one of Jeremy's accomplices works at a cement factory."
Many officers mobilized to one of the biggest building sites in all of LA, just 30 minutes from the bay. Hicks had been studying the blueprints of the building and the maps of the adjacent area during the whole trip to the MCC (Mobile Command Center), set up just 25 yards from the site. They found in this area there was one massive cement plant, which coincidently was near a satellite tower on the outskirts of South Ville, just 45 minutes from where Chris was taken.
Street and Hondo joined the group in front of the MCC, where other agencies had set up stations and vehicles. The big rescue mission was ready, just awaiting for the orders to come in. Even the patrols were ready to pave the way for the ambulance once the victim was rescued. It seems Hicks had called in all of his contacts and used all the favors he had!
Hicks received news that LAPD and FBI had seized the SUV that transported Chris, just 15 minutes from the building site, and immediately sent his guys to check it out. 20 squad made it to the scene, as the officers searched the premises and established a perimeter.
Lt. Sharpe filled them in: "We've got the area secured. Both vehicles have been searched, no evidence of the officer. We did find traces of cement and bits of what seem to be construction material."
"That should give us probable cause for a search warrant, Commander!" Hondo radioed.
"Go! Go!" instructed Hicks
All SWAT officers jumped back into Black Betty and Luca hit pedal to metal! He accelerated as if they were on a high speed chase! It took them less than seven minutes to come in all force and break the gate to the rear side of the parking lot, surrounding the wide building. They immediately got out and in formation. The building was deserted. As Hondo and the crew approached, he noticed wires going around the floor entrance of the side door. Hondo raised his fist, and the officers stopped at once.
"Halt! Trip. Be on high alert!" he ordered softly, as he signaled to the ground 3 ft from him. There were 20 seconds of silence, as the officers stood motionless. No sign of anyone and no sound was heard. Ready to proceed.
Each member tapped the shoulder of the one in front, until Deacon tapped Hondo. They proceeded, each lifting their feet to avoid the cable. They made it to the door, but before Hondo could get a chance to check if it was locked, two automatic weapons began shooting from small windows thirteen feet from the floor, to the right side of the line.
"Tan, Luca, Street, go left. Deacon, you're with me! Hondo directed while they avoided the bullets.
After a round of gunfire, the officers were able to explode two sides of the building and scattered in. Deacon and Hondo came in through the front right, while Luca, Street and Tan from the front left. A massive cement mixer awaited them in the middle of the floor. The flooring shadow resembled that of a massive dinosaur from Jurassic Park! It was turned on, mixing and mixing, while producing mass noise and white dust and smoke.
"Mask up!" Hondo radioed, "Better safe than sorry." They didn't know what kind of weird stuff these people were mixing, so they needed to protect themselves. Last thing they needed was another officer down! The officers reunited again, and lined up. As the team made its way to the dark passage to the right of the immense machine, they were greeted by lazor rays.
"What the hell is this?" Tan asked behind the mask
"Careful guys...those could be reactors!" Deacon warned
