"So...how's the co-parenting thing going?" Deacon asked, as he joined Chris in the hallway, just getting off the elevator. Everyone kept greeting her and congratulating her which was extremely annoying. She hated the attention!

They were on their way to the locker room, since shift hadn't started yet. Chris was officially off, for rehab and therapy but she wanted to swing by and get some stuff from her locker.

Once again her scuba and marine courses helped her avoid major complications as she was released early Saturday morning. The hospital ran tests and provided the first therapies, but the officer insisted she was fine to go home. Besides, Street kept blowing  her phone about the kid. She's never seen him so stressed before. Ever!

"Well..." she began letting out a dramatic sigh, "What can I tell you, Deac? My place went from a safe haven to site of testosterone and smelling like dirty socks!"

Deacon let out a giggle, as Chris continued. "You know? Saturdays for me were so calm. I would make myself some coffee and just relax in my favorite couch, which now," Hondo joined them, "is completely deformed and a messed up thanks to a thirty something year old SWAT officer who has made a huge dent on a very expensive piece of furniture!"

Hondo lowered his head to hide his laughter. Deacon opened the door to the locker, and he and his companions went through. Tan, Street, Nora, Rocker, and Luca greeted them as they came in.

Chris continued, "But...you know? Stuff happens, right?" This time, her sarcasm was very obvious,"Sometimes I would grab my coffee, and maybe sit down to enjoy a nice bowl of cereal, but...not now!  I have to face a mess on top of what used to be my dinning room table. Now you can't even see the top. It's just a  bunch of 9th grade books, messy notebooks, papers, a father's laptop, my laptop and hair bands of every color you can think of...and I got short hair, hardly enough for a pony tail!"

Now Luca, Tan  and the other officers joined the laughter as they stared at Street, who just bowed his head and grinned.

"Sometimes I would" she continued as she opened her locker door, "enjoy a nice workout, you know? Get the juices flowing bright and early. Would go to my little gym, in my spare room, do some kinesthetics, stretching, lift some...but no! Now it's a jungle of a room for a teenager!"

"Aw, man. Sis!" Luca lamented with the widest grin he could show

"Oh no, but that's not the best part." she said sarcastically. Another round of laughter. This time the other officers approached the scene to get a better look.

"It's not?" Deacon asked innocently, as he turned to Hondo, who in response just shrugged. Both had now opened their lockers and were beginning to remove their uniforms. Today was shores and armory duty, so everyone were suiting up in their relaxed uniforms (top, sweatpants, and service gun).

"Oh noooooo...coz the best part is trying to get some sleep when you got a guy with a damn orchestra in his nose!"

The room erupted in laughter, as everyone pointed and stared at Street.

"Hey! I had congestion, okay?!" he tried defending himself, with no avail.

"Right. The whole weekend? Really?" she was annoyed, but couldn't help but to smirk, as Luca jokingly hit Street

"C'mon, bro!" Luca complained

"Damn, Street!" Tan joked

Deacon turned to Hondo, and whispered, "And this is after just two days? Wow!"

Hondo smiled, and replied "Yup. She bout to throw they asses out come Friday!" then giggled.

"Oh, and don't get me started on the bathroom!" Chris continued

JAJAJAJAJA. Now  the guys really let it all out.

"Aw, c'mon!" Street complained. "The kid is still working on his aim, okay? Be patient!" He said raising his voice over the crowd, as he closed the door to his locker.

"I wasn't talking about the kid!" Chris snapped as she slammed her door dramatically loud

"Ohhhhhhhh" the others looked at Street quizzically still giggling.

"Pst. It was just a little water, Chris! Why are you making a big deal outta-"

"You know what? You're right. I should be grateful." she said as she turned towards the door. She swung it open as she said "It's not everyday that you find an LA apartment with an inner pool at the feet of your shower!"
