"Hondo!" called Luca sounding desperate, "Chopper just spotted the car heading east on Western Avenue. Looks like they're heading to the industrial loading docks at St. Peters!"

"Copy that, Commander!" Hondo said, as Deacon and Street shot a look at him."It's automatic!"

Black Betty was flying through LA traffic like never before. Tan tried to imitate Luca as best as he could, to make sure he gave his team a fighting chance at saving Chris. These guys already had a 20 minute head start. He made it to the entrance of the huge parking area, where the guard had lifted the automatic hand, waving them in.

"HERE!" he called breathing heavily. He really enjoyed the rush of driving the monster!

"Luca, any news from the chopper?" Hondo asked as he hit the button on his chest

"They spotted the car but no sign of the criminals or Chris. I'm sending you the location now." Luca responded

They approached the left side, through a wide road, leading to a massive loading area with hundreds of trailers and several derricks, cranes and heavy lifting machines. The place was huge!

"Security cleared all entries and exits. The car probably came in from a side entrance which is uncovered because of a nearby construction site." Luca announced

They found the red car with all doors opened. It was parked sideways blocking an entry to a wide building. No sign of anyone around. The officers inspected the vehicle, but found nothing.

"Nothing" announced Hondo as all four looked around desperately. Tan took a couple of  steps towards the building, which was just a steel frame, nothing in the inside but scraps and old lifting cars, cranes, etc.

"Place looks like the 1900s." Tan announced

Deacon and Hondo gazed off to the pier, trying to spot any movement at all. Nothing. Only two machines were lifting heavy wooden boxes, nothing out of the ordinary.

Street on the other hand, kept his attention on the car. There must be something. I know she put up a fight. I know her!

He thrust himself inside of the car, looked through each seat, searched every nook and cranny, nothing. He went over the dash, the back, the side doors, he even checked the visors. Absolutely nothing!

He was extremely nervous and frustrated. I can't believe I lost her. Again! F*ck!

The wrath got a hold of him as he closed both fists, and hit the side of the car, as if it was a punching bag. Each knuckle of each hand throbbed, but he didn't care. He was about to never see her again, who the hell cared if his hands were broken?

The impact did startled the rest of the group, as they came together towards him.

"STREET!" Hondo called, as Street revamped up and hit the car again, this time adding a kick to the side of the back door. "Relax, we'll find her!"

"When?" he turned violently towards Hondo,  "When she's DEAD? Damn!" He turned around and in one swing hit the car with his left leg, this time he let out a loud groan.

"STREET!" Tan called, grabbing him from behind, "Stop! We'll get her."

The two officers wrestled as Street violently removed his automatic weapon and swung it nowhere specific. "Forget it. She's probably dead by now!"

"Wait! Did you hear that?" Deacon said as the weapon landed. It seemed he was the only one paying attention because the others simply stopped and stared at him puzzled. "Did you guys hear that?"

"Hear what?" all they heard was the sound of the two machines from afar, and the usual eerie silence of industrial sites.

Deacon swung his riffle back, and bent over next to where Street's weapon had just landed. He took out his flashlight. He shone a couple of inches from the tip of the weapon, as something shinny appeared. Deacon removed his glove and moved some debris from the ground. He found a piece of wooden board, attached to it was a small metal plate.
