Chapter 8: Fake rumor

Nayeon was really curious about if Dahyun is telling the truth or not, or Mingyu just made it up

So after school Nayeon decided to walk Dahyun home

"Eh?, aren't i suppose to be the one who walks you home?" Dahyun asked

"I said it's my turn to walk you home" Nayeon said

"But----" Dahyun got caught off when Nayeon speak

"No buts kid, now let's go" Nayeon said and pull Dahyun to walk

Nayeon notice that Dahyun seems to be scared of Nayeon walking her home

'Argh, what is this kid even hiding?' Nayeon asked herself

"What's wrong?" Nayeon stopped and asked

"Nothing, I'm just surprised about you walking me home" Dahyun said and Nayeon didn't sense a lie on what Dahyun said

"Aren't you thankful for that?" Nayeon asked and Dahyun slowly nodded

"Then let's go" Nayeon said and walk ahead while pulling Dahyun

Dahyun catch up and let Nayeon hold her wrist

"I never been into your house" Nayeon said

"Oh, haha, my house is really messy" Dahyun said

"Really?" Nayeon asked and Dahyun nodded

"Specially my room" Dahyun added

The two of them didn't talk further and just quietly walk to Dahyun's place

As they arrived at Dahyun's place, Dahyun seems to be anxious about

"Well, we're here....." Dahyun said and look around

"Your place seems to be nice" Nayeon said

"Yeah, for you, to me it's a nightmare" Dahyun said

"What do you mean by that?" Nayeon asked

"Haha nothing, anyways please get home safely see you tomorrow bye!" Dahyun said and push Nayeon to walk and then go inside her house

"Weird" Nayeon said and walks away that makes Dahyun relief

*Next day* *At the classroom*

"Really?" Tzuyu asked

"Yeah, i got scared so suddenly if Dad show up" Dahyun said

"Well that's a good thing you made her leave after she walk you home" Tzuyu said

"Exactly!, i don't want her to know how a demon my dad is" Dahyun said

"Why did she walk you home?" Tzuyu asked

"I don't know, but i think she's curious about something, and i hope it's not parents related" Dahyun said

"Is it me, but why does it seems people are looking at you and then gossiping about something?" Tzuyu asked and look around

"Really?" Dahyun asked and look around and saw some students looking at them and some looking away

"Weird" Tzuyu said and then Chaeyoung and Jeongyeon panting arrived the room and approach them

"What happened to you two?" Dahyun asked

"Did you heard?" Jeongyeon asked while panting

"Heard what?" Tzuyu asked

"Mingyu keeps spreading fake rumors about you" Chaeyoung said that makes Dahyun's eyebrows furrowed

"Like what?" Dahyun asked

"She said that we got into a fight with some gangsters, and then you being disrespectful to some old people, he even said that you didn't helped his grandma when she falls down" Jeongyeon said

"Yeah, plus he said you're uneducated and your parents doesn't educate you" Chaeyoung said

"There's one thing" Jeongyeon said

"Spill it" Dahyun said in her serious tone

"he said you're a clout chaser, an attention seeker because you always cause a lot of trouble" Jeongyeon said

"That darn asshole, where is he?" Dahyun asked

"At the cafeteria" Chaeyoung said and Dahyun immediately stands up and leave the room

"I have a bad feeling about this" Tzuyu said and stand up and followed Dahyun so as Chaeyoung and Jeongyeon

"Dahyun!, where are you going!?" Jeongyeon asked as they follow Dahyun who's a head of them

Dahyun got enough on what Mingyu is telling people that it isn't even true, to Dahyun he's the one who's a clout chaser, a attention seeker because of how he makes fake rumors about her

As she arrived at the cafeteria she saw students gather around on one table and a familiar guy sitting on top of the table

It seems like he's telling more fake rumors about Dahyun and how the students give a shock and disgust face

"Do you believe on what Mingyu keeps on saying Nabongs?" Jihyo asked Nayeon who's eating silently besides her

"I don't know" Nayeon shortly said

"What do you mean you don't know?, i know you know that Dahyun is not a person like that, she does a lot of trouble i know, but her being a clout chaser no way, Dahyun doesn't even care about popularity" Jihyo said

"For me, he's the one who's clout chasing right now" Jihyo added

"Hey, you need to do something" Jihyo said

"Like what?" Nayeon asked

"Stop him about telling lies!" Jihyo said

"Why me? you're a member of the students council then you should be the one who do it" Nayeon said

"Nayeon i always have enough of your bullshit about always mentioning me as a member of student council, i know that!, but you have to be the one to do that because you know Dahyun better than anyone!" Jihyo said

"Asshole, i don't know her better than anyone, she always cause trouble, that's what i know" Nayeon said

"Argh, Nayeon!, you always make me frustrated, why won't you help her just this once?, do something before it's too late!" Jihyo said

Nayeon was about to speak when they heard student gasped and some breaking sounds and trays and spoon and forks falling on the floor

They look back and saw Mingyu on the floor and some students backing away from a furious Dahyun

"Too late" Jihyo said and look at Nayeon who's shocked to see what happened

In Dahyun's mind she's so mad on what Mingyu did all the thing she thinks is beat him up
