Lost: Unfound

Part 2

"Nina Valerá" an unknown voice calls out as I was consumed by darkness.

I opened my eyes only to be met by nothing but light. No! This can't be happening!

"I have a lot to tell you miss." I heard as a woman's body appeared and began floating towards me.

I was a bit worried at first considering my dream. Well I was until I saw my moms face as she got closer.

"Mom?" I said in confusion. To be honest she looked just as confused as me maybe more.

"Oh honey. I'm not your mom." The lady said as she seemed to understand. "I'm your ancestor. I chose the form of who you love most to comfort you. Call me Iyanna."

"Why am I here m– Iyanna?" I question still confused.

"Well It's your fate as the warrior" Warrior? I barely leave the house. I guess she could tell I was confused cause she started talking again.

"Nina you are the warrior. The one who's destined to save us from the war that's began ever since your uncle left."

"How do you know my uncle."

She smiles. "Well he's apart of your fate see." She pulls out a scroll. From where you ask? Who knows.

"Nina Valerá of the Atakapa tribe- that's you by the way- has a premonition of the future, and in reminiscence of her father she is led to the search of her uncle. In this search, she encounters a powerful voodoo witch who aids her in the conclusion of the war of ending." She lifts her head from the scroll and looks at me.

"So I'm destined to end a war." I say all smiley feeling a little prideful.

"Well not exactly destined." I frown "certain actions can alter what's written to happen. Also not everything that's meant to happen is written." She says.

I was about to speak before she looks at her empty wrist and behind to speak. "Welp that's my time! See ya on the other side mate!" She says with a terrible Australian accent. I start cringe at it until she starts coming towards me.

"Oh and don't forget, when you wake up you need to leave as soon as possible, put your dad's ring on and NEVER take it off." She then gets closer to me and plucks me.

I groan at the pain and go to look up at her. But as soon as I look up everything goes black.

I gasp as I wake up from the sleep I was put in. I try to remember my dream but all I can remember is to put on my dad's ring.

I get my the ring off of the side table next to my bed and put it on.

Pack your bags. Go to the place where you and your uncle's time was spent the most. Someplace where no one else would go. Tell no one.

I get out of my bed start packing. I grab clothes and stuff them into a nearby bag. It was like I was in a trance while watching someone control my own body.

I get dressed in baggy shorts, and a sweater before putting on my boots. I grab my backpack and start to head for the door. Well that was before I saw my knife. The one my uncle gave me a week before he left.

I look at it for a little while lost in thought. Should I get it? I mean it is the middle of a war. He gave it to me to for protection after all

But what's the need? I mean it's not like you mom and dad made sure you were trained in fighting.

But your uncle did bring it. Plus it could be good luck

I agree its nice to have a little more protection.

Bu– STOP OVERTHINKING AND JUST GRAB THE KNIFE NINA!

I grab the knife put it in my pocket. I put my backpack on back and then head out of the room.

I'm pretty sure the house is empty so I can get out without being noticed. I run to the front door. Just as I'm about to open it I hear my mom's voice.

"Nina. What the hell are you doing?"
