I drop my study guide and lean my cheek on Todoroki's shoulder. "My head hurts."
Todoroki chuckles before squeezing my hand. "I know. But we have to study."
"Can't we take a break?" I mumble.
I nuzzle into his sweater, the newest turtleneck to his already enormous collection. This one's a baby blue with his initials on the left sleeve. I made it myself. I'm still not the best at crocheting, but Todoroki loves when I make things for him and is always so proud to show them off to our classmates or wear them to a modeling shoot, with my permission of course. Right now he has three turtlenecks, his birthday blanket, and a stuffed giraffe. I'm currently working on a pillow to match his blanket, but that's a surprise for another day.
He laughs again. "We already did that. Or did you forget?"
I snort. "Of course I didn't forget." I lift my head off his shoulder. Biting my lip, I caress his cheek. "That's why I wanna do it again."
Todoroki smiles as he closes the gap between us, sealing his lips over mine. I kiss him back, moving my hand from his cheek to the back of his head. The kiss starts out innocent enough, but quickly turns flirty and frisky. Before I know it, I'm lying flat on Todoroki's tatami mats as he climbs on top of me. As our hands explore each other's bodies, I smile into the kiss when he grabs a firm hold of my hip.
This isn't anything new. Todoroki and I have been dating for about two months now, and they've easily been the best two months of my life. Every day I spend with him I fall for him more, which shouldn't be possible given how hard I've fallen for him already, but he always finds ways to surprise me.
And, as it turns out, having a boyfriend has miraculously made me both a stronger student and a stronger hero. It doesn't hurt that Todoroki is equally as capable as I am, so we play off of each other's strengths and weaknesses. As my go to partner for sparring, Todoroki now sits at number two in our class's hero rankings. I'm still at number one, but he can easily take that spot from me if I'm not careful. And while I'll be disappointed in myself for allowing that to happen, I'll be even more proud of him for reaching that accomplishment.
Of course, he's also my permanent homework and study partner. Ever since we started dating, there hasn't been a single night that we had to stay up late to get our homework done. When we work together, we get everything done a lot faster, which allows us plenty of time to train in the evening. And because we're still in the honeymoon phase of our relationship, we hold hands as we do our homework. Some of our friends tease us for it, but I can't be bothered. I dare anyone to not be a mushy, affectionate, lovesick mess with Shouto Todoroki as a boyfriend. How can I maintain any level of composure when I'm dating someone as perfect as him?
And he's revealed himself as even more perfect since we started dating. He's still the same soft and adorable Todoroki he's always been, but now I have the pleasure of experiencing his more forceful side, which is usually reserved for our make out sessions during our study breaks. I never thought I'd be the type to enjoy having someone else take charge once in a while, but I'm so captivated by this boy that I find everything he does attractive. We agree that our relationship is still too new to cross into, well, that territory yet, though I'm sure it'll happen when it's meant to. Right now, heavy make out sessions in each other's bedrooms is as far as things go.
Which, even now, can sometimes be too much.
Todoroki pushes himself off of me and catches his breath. "No," he says, panting. "We should be studying."
I sit up beside him, my smirk still prominent. "We've studied enough for the weekend. Can't we cuddle or something?"
He shoots me a look, the same look he always gives me whenever I make a cheeky remark. "Babe, if we don't pass our finals we won't be able to cuddle at all since we'll be kicked out of school."
