Ring, Ring, Ring! I sit there staring at the wall thinking. Ring, Ring! Just thinking, staring at every little crack in the wall... "Jade? Hello, earth to Jade!" Ah, that was her voice.The lovely sound of her voice. "Jade get up the bell just rang."
"What!? Crap I'm going to be late to my next class!" I quickly stand up and look over at Ashlynne. Her long brown hair was hanging loosely over her face, covering her brown eyes. She was giggling and trying to hide a smile. " Calm down Jade it just rang."
"Oh uh, ya well, I was just joking, you know." Gosh I felt so stupid. She rolled her big brown eyes. Man they were the prettiest eyes I have ever seen! I have had a huge crush on Ashlynne ever since I met her. We walked out of the class room and of course, Brandon was there. He wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered sweet nothings into her ear. She laughs. I snorted. I wish I was Brandon right now. Why did that cow choose the prettiest girl in the whole entire world!
I watch as they walk away, leaving me standing here in the over-heated, crowded hall way. I walk over to my locker to grab my books. "Hey Jade!" Ugh, please no, not her! Brandon's cousin has a big crush on me and is so annoying! I turn to face Brandy. She was fluttering her eyelashes like crazy. Wow, thats attractive... not! "Is there something wrong with your eyes?" I asked obnoxiously.
"What!? No..." She sighed and looked away. I know I am a little mean for saying that to her, but I can't stand her. She is one of those girly girls who sit there and gossip. She thinks she is all that and thinks way to much of herself. I swear, every time that girl passes a mirror, she stands in front of it for five minutes just looking at her self. "Do you mind if I walk with you?" she asked.
Yes, yes I do mind. Stay away from me. " No not all." I mumbled, and sighed. Of course she starts babbling away. I sat there and thought of Ashlynne. Her long brown hair, her tan skin. The way she smiles puts stars to shame. "So you do you want to?"
"Wha-a-at? I stuttered while coming back to reality.
"Do. You. Want. To. Come. To. The. Movie's. With. Me?" she said in the simplest form, thinking I was stupid.
I ran my fingers through my shaggy dark brown hair. Wow I really need a hair cut. "Um, well, um?" Yes saved by the bell! "Oops, late for class see ya later Brandy." I hurried and walked away. "Late again Jade." Ms. Bellbottom said with her evil high pitched voice, I winced her voice seriously hurt my ears. "Sorry." I replied back with a monotone voice, I looked around and everyone tried not to notice me. Everyone thinks of me as an unhappy skater boy who doesn't give a crap about life. Well, they're wrong. I am not that way at all and the only person who sees me differently is Ashlynne. She is the only one who understands me, and she is always there for me, like when my parents got that awful divorce.
Class went by fast and soon enough it was lunch. I bought me an apple and sat at my usual spot. Ashlynne came and sat by me. I was absolutely shocked, to see that Brand wasn't with her. "Where's Brandon?" I asked
"He has to go get help in math."
"Oh." I looked down at the odd pattern at the lunch table disappointed, because inside I was secretly hoping they broke up. "I don't get it." She all the sudden said.
I looked up at her, confusion on my face, " Get what?"
"Why do you only get a apple to eat for lunch?"
I Grinned, " A apple a day keeps the doctor away," She laughed "okay, the real reason is everything else is gross, and this apple here is the only thing that actual taste good." She laughed again, man I'm on a role. She reached over and picked up my shiny red apple and took a bite. "Hm I believe your right this is a good apple, its tastes way better than this pizza." I chuckled, She smiled so wide it nearly took my breath away. Oh how I wanted to kiss those soft pink lips. I looked down again. She has a boyfriend stop forgetting about that.
"So jade, do you want to go skate boarding with me and Brandon today?"
Yes!" I said with a little too much enthusiasm.
"Its a date then." She said then turned back to her food to eat. Oh how I wish it was a date, a real true date, with just me and her.
