Chapter 15- Ashlynne

Well, I jinxed myself. It did get worse. They took me even farther into the woods. It was colder and higher up than where we normally were. Turns out, there are mountains in the forest! Joy. So, I'm up on the mountain, tied to a stick (and a thick stick at that) that's staked into the ground. Plus, who knows what kind of animal could be up hear, just waiting to eat my flesh and bones?

"When can I just go home?" I think to myself agonizingly. I start to think about what Brandon thought when he found out I went missing. If he even knew that I went missing... He was probably all like "Yes! The slut is out of my life! Now I won't have to worry about her and can do whatever I want, whenever I want to do it with Miranda!"

Nah. He's not THAT shallow. Even if he lied about loving me, I knew that he wouldn't ever think that low of someone. Would he?

I wonder how Jade is. I hope he's going okay! Ever since I had that dream about him, I've had this longing for him. The same goes for my little sister and the rest of my family. I wonder how Mom is holding up? And Dad, too. I hope everyone is getting along. Then, there's Alex. I hope he's not taking this too hard. Him and I have always been like this. I think as I cross my pointer finger with my middle finger to show how close Alex and I are. I laugh to myself as I do this. It's always been our little inside joke, Alex's and mine. Right at that moment, I realize that that was the first time I've ever laughed and smiled since I got kidnapped.

My smile soon fades as I hear footsteps, followed by the voices of Brandy and Shorty. I nicknamed the "short girl" because it was long and Shorty was short and seemed to fit her. I think to myself. Then I start to wonder what they're going to do to me now, and I become angry. I then felt this seering pain cross my cheek, breaking me out of my reverie.

"What the crap was that for?!"

"You laughed, stupid. Laughing isn't allowed, remember?" says Shorty simply.

"Oh yeah! I remember! Just like I remember how kidnapping isn't allowed in the United States! It's against the law!" I snapped back. That earns me another slap across my other cheek.

"Now apologize for what you just said. Or, we could just hurt you again... Except, more painfully this time." Brandy retorts.

"Sorry..." I mumbled. I really don't feel like more pain.

"Yeah, you should be sorry! Brat!" Shorty yells at me

"No. No, you know what? I shouldn't be sorry. It should be you two that are sorry! You just couldn't stand the fact that I have Jade and you NEVER will! You two are pathetic!" I scream.

"Ohhhh. That's IT!" Shorty screams back. "Untie her. I'm going to the van to get something." she continues, more calmly this time. She started laughing as she walked away. I was ultimately scared for my life right now. "Oh! Blind fold her too!" she yells to Brandy.

I honestly have no idea what she's going to do to me. I can't think straight, that's how terrified I am. When I hear her footsteps once again, I'm even more terrified. "Turn her around." Shorty ordered, once she was in hearing range. Brandy did as she was told. 'So, I'm guessing I'm facing the mountain now? Awesome.' I think to myself.

"Re-tie her to the stick." Shorty commanded to Brandy once again. And again, Brandy did as she was told. 'Correction, I'm now facing the mountain AND the stick. How lovely.' I think to myself once again.

Brandy ties my arms above my head and panic starts to roll through me. I suddenly feel nausiated with what I think they're going to do to me. I just hope and pray that it's not what I think it is. Then, I heard it. The cracking of a whip. I honestly never thought they would EVER do this to me. I guess I was wrong... I was now more terrified than I've ever been in my entire life. This has always been one of my worst fears, and now, this fear is taking place and is happening to me--right here, right now. "Please! Don't do this!" I wail.

"That's your fault, sluty Ashy. You ticked me off, so now you must be punished." Shorty says wickedly.

"But... But.... This is a cruel and unusual punishment!! Please, don't do it!"

"Too bad. I don't really care what you say... Nothing and no one is going to stop me. So deal with it." she retorted. Tears start pouring down my dirt covered face. Then, I feel it. The sting of the whip across my bare, boney back. I scream the loudest scream I could manage and have ever forced through my lips. This pain is unlike any pain I've ever felt in my entire life. The second I feel it I want it to end, to be finished. This pain fills my entire back as the whip crosses paths with my now bloody skin, over and over until my back goes numb.

They gagged me after the first whip because I screamed so loud. When they finally finish, my back was throbbing. They untie me and I fall onto my stomach. When Brandy comes around to untie my blind fold, she's smiling at me with her wicked, evil smile. I reach around to feel my shredded skin and wince at the pain it brings. I bring my hand back around to my face and shriek at how much blood is on it from that simple, small touch. The shriek is muffled, though, being gagged and all. More tears at that moment start to succumb my eyes and spill over the edge, drenching my face with the salt water tears. 'How could they be this cruel?' I think to myself. They then make me stand up, turn around, and sit back down once more. They tie my hands behind my back and to the stick again and I try to avoid touching my back to the stick, in fear of more pain.

The two just stood there, giggling, whispering, and then staring at me and the pain I'm in. They come at me again. Jade, please help me!
