Y/n's POV:

As I'm looking up at the portal with the space invaders spilling from it, Natasha draws our attention.

"Guys...", she drifts off.

"Call it Cap.", Ironman says turning to the star spangled man beside me.

" Alright, listen up.", he starts, "Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash.", he states as chariots fly overhead.

"Wanna give me a lift?", Uncle asks as Ironman responds, "Right. Better clench up Legolas.", as the two of them fly off with uncle being held by the red and gold hero.

"Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down as best you can. You've got the lightning, light those bastards up.", he states as Thor spins his hammer before shooting into the sky.

Turning to Natasha and I he begins, " Good work with clearing out the civilians Y/n but we've still got a lot of work. While Nat and I draw their main force here you will be hunting for stragglers on the ground, the police won't be able to handle the ones that get through the blockade so that's your job.", he ordered as I looked at my metallic fist clenching it before leaping into one of the nearby alleyways. I began to search through the empty streets only helping a few people before getting a scream of fear from them as I continued with my mission.

Just like what Cap had said there were a few soldiers using the shadows cast by the buildings to sneak around the blockade that was set up, there were five this time three at the front with spears and two at the back with cannons their shoulders just grazing the walls on either side of them. I may not get hurt by the blasts from the cannons but the force pushes me back, they need to be dealt with first. Taking in a deep breath I slam my left palm onto the side of a concrete wall to my left, this causes the group to stand back just in time for a red brick from the right wall to morph into a spike and impale the two at the back through their shoulders, while blocking the path of retreat for the spearmen.

The spearman on the left turns back to look at the impaled bodies that now blocks their path, the other two in a state of panic charge towards me raising their spears before slashing down. I quickly catch the spears as I pull them away with such force that it tears off the arms of the right soldier as it writhes in pain before stopping. The familiar yellow ripples of fear emanate from the cowering soldiers as they fight over the remaining spear between them. I drop the other spears stepping on them as I drew closer to the pair, I grabbed the middle of the spear as the enemies held on allowing me to lift them into the air.

In quick succession I swung the spear from left to right as the enemies crumpled into a heap by the brick wall. For good measure I snapped the spear in two like a twig and stabbed the ends into the heads of the aliens, their purple blood pouring from the cavity. I heard a sudden gasp behind me, on instinct I turned my jackal head towards the sound only to meet the eyes of a mother and her daughter, both with brown hair and eyes covered in dust and dirt, the daughter was probably around my age.

The mother was the one who had gasped as she attempted to pull her daughter away from me, the monster, I did my best to ignore the pair turning back to the dead bodies of the aliens trying to block out what the mother was telling her daughter, ' Please before it attacks us' or ' the monster is looking away it's our chance to run', it hurt to hear those words. Wanting to get away from the pair and distract myself I conjured a tornado of dust and sand around me propelling myself onto the roof of the left building as I leapt between the gaps of the apartment buildings scouting for any other stragglers to hunt down.
