The moment I walked through the door to our dorm, Draco was there, kissing me. I sighed happily into the kiss, before pulling us apart.

"I'm sorry Draco, but I'm tired, can we just go to sleep?" I asked.

He looked at me. "We have to fill out the wedding packet tonight, remember?"

I groaned. I didn't have the energy to do that tonight, nor was I ready to make all those decisions. But I knew it had to be done. "Let's get started then, we have a long night ahead of us."

I started walking over to the couch, but Draco didn't follow. Instead, he stood there, scratching the back of his neck. "What is it?" I questioned.

"Well, my mum wrote to me this morning. She said she wants to help with the wedding plans," he said, avoiding my eyes.

"How would that work?"

"Mum suggested that she could floo over," he explained.

"Floo?"

"Oh right, you wouldn't know what that is. Mum would just travel through the fireplace into here. But if you're too tired I can just tell her no—"

"No, no, go ahead. We could use the help," I told him, settling into my seat on the couch.

Within ten minutes, Draco's mum was seated on the opposite couch from us..

"So you must be Evelyn. I'm Narcissa," she said, holding out her hand.

I gently shook it. "Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you."

"And you. I'm sorry to spring this up on you," she apologized.

"No, it's alright. This whole situation was sprung upon us, I'm getting used to it."

She laughed. "It certainly was. Now, Draco tells me you picked out your wedding dress today?"

I nodded. "It took me a long time to find, but I'm very happy with it. I'm afraid it's not quite as lavish as you might've hoped, but—"

"Oh don't worry about that dear," she assured. "I don't care as much as I used to about that sort of thing. As long as it's nothing scandalous," she looked at me pointedly.

"You needn't worry about that. I rarely ever wear anything of that sort," I responded with a laugh.

"Mother, shouldn't we get started?" Draco cut in.

"Oh yes, of course," she said, picking up the packet we were given.

And so the work began. We chose decorations, location, music, cake, and more. I was fighting to stay awake by the time we were going through invitations.

"Just put it in the paper and anyone who wants to come can come," I said tiredly. I could care less at this point. It was past one in the morning, I wanted to sleep.

"Fair enough," she said, writing a final note on the parchment. She then waved her wand, creating a copy for herself.

"I'll get going then, we could all use some sleep. But I'd like a word alone with Evelyn before I go if you don't mind, Draco," she asked.

Draco eyed us cautiously, but I nodded at him to go ahead. "I'll be in in a few minutes Draco," I told him. He gave us one final glance before turning away to get ready for bed.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" I questioned.

She pulled a package out of her coat, and I looked curiously at it. "What is that?"

"The Malfoy family tiara. Each woman who comes into the family gets it on their wedding day. That person is you now. I'd give it to you on your wedding day, but I wasn't sure if I'd see you before you walk down the aisle, and besides, you can style your hair accordingly now," she explained, passing it over to me.
