Epilogue

It's been three years since our final year at Hogwarts. Three years since everyone in the country was forced to marry and have a child.

Turns out Draco and I, along with our friends, were one of the few who actually had good marriages. Most of the couples, according to various reports in the Daily Prophet, were extremely unhappy with their partners, some even hating them.

The Minister had resigned from office, taking all the hate and blame for the law, even though it really was out of his control.

But Draco and I were perfect. Our children (while still a handful) were perfect. So our anniversary today would be perfect.

I had spent a long time getting the surprise together. For any muggle family, this wouldn't have been difficult at all. But the Malfoys had no electricity.

Everything was done with magic. But magic couldn't power a television.

So with the help of Lucius and Narcissa, we got what was necessary installed. And remarkably, we were able to do it all without getting Draco or the kids' attention.

I would've let the kids see, but they weren't the best at keeping secrets. And I didn't want this to get spoiled for my husband.

As dinner concluded, I led Draco into the drawing room, our kids following behind. I felt him tense next to me as we walked towards it, but I didn't stop.

Pansy had informed me of the unspoken horrors that had occurred in that room. None of the Malfoys had entered it since. But it wasn't the same room that it was before.

I pulled my arm away from Draco's to push open the heavy doors, and then stepped out of the way to give him a full view of it. CJ, Celeste, and Astrid ran in first, then stopped and looked in awe.

Draco followed slowly, unsure. He eyed the great big screen, then turned around, confused.

"What...is it?"

I laughed. "It's a movie theater, silly."

I grabbed his arm and dragged him behind me, explaining as I went. "I originally was just going to get a television for us to watch movies on. But then I thought of this huge room, completely unused. And the idea came to me to convert it into a personal movie theater. Your parents liked the idea when I asked them, and agreed to pay for it. So, here it is."

We sat down in my favorite part of the theater, the middle of the room, with a perfect view of the screen. Our three children were at the very front, bouncing on the plush seats.

"What Disney princess are we watching?"

I smiled, kissing him on the cheek.

"Cinderella. But first, popcorn," I answered.

"Cinderella? What is that? And what is popcorn?"

I snorted. "Cinderella is the name of the main character. And popcorn is the classic movie-watching snack."

I called for one of the house-elves to get our popcorn, and then the movie began. Draco was wide-eyed the entire time, and nearly devoured the popcorn once he tasted it.

"It's like a book and a portrait combined!" Draco commented hours later as we laid in bed.

"I know, darling. But can we please go to sleep?" I asked, rolling over to look at him.

"Yes, alright. It was just so amazing, I can't stop thinking about it. My gift to you seems so small compared to it," he said, pouting.

I ran my fingers through his hair, and gave him a light kiss on the forehead. "Draco, you bought me the most expensive bracelet in the world. That is not small, and you know it. As usual, your gift far outdid mine."

"It looks so small though. Especially compared to what you gave me," he argued.

I smiled. "Well, I'm glad you like the movie theater. I wasn't sure, considering I put it in the drawing room."

"I love all your gifts, Evelyn. And as for where you put it, I'm glad you put it where you did. You made the most hated room in the house turn into one of my favorites. It was the perfect gift."

"I love all of your gifts too. But you don't need to buy me the most expensive things, really. You shouldn't spend all that money on me."

He looked at me incredulously. "Are you kidding? You're what I should most spend my money on."

I raised my eyebrows. "Not our children?"

He shrugged. "Maybe once they can actually appreciate what they get."

I let out a small laugh. "Fair point."

"I love you, darling. You're my true love, my everything."

I smiled, nuzzling into his chest. "And I love you, Draco. You're my Prince Charming."

He kissed the top of my head as I closed my eyes, and as I drifted off, I could almost see that he was thinking about the movie again.

I couldn't wait to show him more.

Hi, everyone! The story's over now 😔

Jk, I'm actually more relieved than anything 😂 I hate leaving something unfinished (I feel bad about the number of stories I've done that to now) and I'm glad I actually completed this one this time.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you guys for reading this. And if you voted and commented, thank you for that as well! I know I've sucked at updating, sorry again for that.

Please keep an eye out for my other stories, though they might be a while coming yet. I plan to write them completely before I publish them for a change, so I can really make a good story. Or a better one at least.

Thank you all again! <3
