"Hi." Wanda came into the living room causing Nat to look up from her book.

She set it over the arm of the chair and greeted the witch, "Hey, how was your nap?"

"Good, thank you." She had woken up big and already gotten out of the diaper and onesie though she had put her rainbow sweater back on with some running shorts. Wanda chewed on her lip for a moment before gathering to courage to ask what was on her mind, "Tasha, who was that woman here earlier?"

"That was Sharon Carter. She was a SHIELD agent." The Widow said with a calm, unreadable expression on her face. It was something she had become unaccustomed to from the woman. Normally she would be very open and warm with her but now she spoke to her, not quite coldly, but definitely distantly.

Wanda sank down on the other end of the couch, toying with the ends of her sleeves nervously, "Why was she here?"

"Nick Fury sent her. You remember who he is?" Wanda nodded before Nat continued, "He thinks she would make a good caregiver for you."

"Oh." Wanda had figured as much though she hadn't wanted it to be true. "Wh- what do you think?"

"I think Sharon is a wonderful caregiver." Nat replied, "I think you should give her a chance."

"Oh." Wanda said again, her voice smaller than before. That had not been the answer she had wanted to hear. She had wanted Natasha to tell her that Mr. Fury had made a mistake. He had sent her but he had been wrong to do so, that Wanda was going to stay here with the other Avengers. She wanted to stay with Tasha.

When Wanda didn't say anything beyond that, Nat continued, "I'm sorry I couldn't give you more warning. It was very sudden."

Wanda nodded, looking down at her lap. The older woman at least did seem remorseful about that. A terrible feeling balled up in Wanda's stomach. She tried to find the words but couldn't. She just felt like crying as she said, "You said we would talk about it."

Natasha had always said they would discuss what to do as they went along but now she felt like she had never been apart of the conversation. She knew Nat said it was sudden but there must have been some talk about it for this woman to just appear. Apparently she couldn't be little and an Avenger and now she was being kicked out of the place she had started to consider her home.

"I know, hun. I am sorry." Natasha told her earnestly, "But I just want to do what is best for you."

What would be best for her was staying with Tasha, but her words were still failing her and she already felt on the brink of slipping back into her little space despite having just gotten out of it. She was trying to shove the feeling back down when Nat asked her a question. She looked up, trying to focus, "Hm?"

"Is it still okay for Sharon to come over tomorrow?" The woman asked.

"Oh. Yeah.. that's fine." Wanda said flatly.

"Okay." Nat gave her a sad smile then tried to cheer her up, "Do you want to watch a movie or anything before dinner?"

"I think I'll just go read in my room for a bit." She declined.

"Alright." The redhead said and Wanda stood to escape to her room.

She crawled into her bed, trying not to think about this new turn of events. She took the book out from her nightstand that she borrowed from Natasha and opened to the chapter she was on. The Sokovian barely made it through a sentence before realizing she wouldn't be reading. The words became all jumbled and she couldn't recognize some of them. Frustrated and sad, tears began to leak from her eyes. Setting the book aside, she rolled onto her side and began softly crying.
