2 and half years later, with no communication... just seeing him grow big as a player. ella and mason reunite after she gro...
Ella's POV:... Loud pans being dropped woke me from my deep sleep. Luka is still asleep, laying on his stomach. Honestly, I don't know why he sleeps like that but he's just like Mason. It's around 9:30 am when I reach over to my phone. I see missed calls from my mom and messages from work.
What caught my eye was a notification from Instagram @masonmount requested to follow you. Right, I had him blocked... It still doesn't wrap around my head. We're both here, we're setting our differences aside and trying again. But I just know I have to tell him soon...
I got into the bathroom, brushed my teeth and splashed some water on my face. I quietly walked out and met Kai and Sophia in the kitchen. They smiled and gave me a cup of coffee. I sighed, enjoying the scent of it. "I know what you're thinking, but I've decided to give him a chance to explain everything" I said, dipping a cookie in my coffee.
"Are you gonna tell him?" Kai asks, taking a sip out of his mug, Sophia shoots him a glare. "When the time is right I will, just for now please don't say anything" they nodded understanding. I felt guilty knowing they had to keep this secret, but I do it for my son's safety, and for Mason.
"Tell me what? Why are y'all being so secretive?" Mason walks into the kitchen wearing a similar crew neck as mine with some sweats. He greeted all of us and sat down at the bar. We all stare at each other, not knowing how to answer the question.
"Ella didn't know how to tell you but, she wanted to invite you to a ball at her workplace next month. She's getting a promotion at the firm" this time it's my turn to send daggers to Sophia. This wasn't the plan, I wasn't even going to go. Mason looks at me "If you want to and are okay with it, I'd be more than welcomed" I smile back and nod.
"So who's up for some breakfast" I asked to cut the awkward tension in the room.
"I could really go for the famous English breakfast made by Ella" Kai said, rubbing his stomach. "Ou, yes! I even went to buy the stuff you use so you could teach me. Because this one over here insists" Sophia laughed and walked over to wash her hands. I take a glance at her engagement ring and gasp.
"I know I still can't believe it! I'm getting married to the one, THE one Ella!" I hugged her tightly. "I'll be sure to make your bachelorette party unforgettable" I grab her hand and stare at the ring. It's absolutely stunning.
The guys went to play video games while Sophia and I cooked. I taught her how to make, to make sure not to overcook the eggs, and let the dough rise before baking the biscuits. The entire house smelled like bacon and fresh bread. We set the tables up, grabbed the orange juice, and placed it on the table. I heard crying making me clean my hands on a rag before getting Luka but I stopped midway when I heard Mason.
"I got him" Mason said. He ran towards the room and I looked down feeling way more guilty.
I saw Luka with a wide smile as Mason carried him. He extended his arms and I put him around my hip. I filled his sippy cup with juice and sat down. Luka was on my lap, I let him eat first so then I could eat peacefully. Once finished he went to the couch and laid watching a movie Kai put on.
We all ate breakfast, finishing it in a quick swift movement. We talked then and there. I told Mason about my fun adventures during the two years like going blonde, visiting Colombia again, and work. Kai and Sophia lived in their own world. At one point Mason leaned in towards me and stared at them when Kai grabbed Sophia's left hand and kissed it.
'That could've been us...' I thought in my head, "Yeah it could've". Oh no, did I say that out loud? Mason looked over at my mortified face, "It could still be us..." he whispered. Not knowing what to say I just replied with a "maybe". He will for sure hate me once I tell him the truth.
"I know it will be. I have faith in us" this time he grabs my hand making us lock eyes "Question is do you still believe in us?" I decided to answer truthfully. "I do, since day one. I'm just scared... This is all new to me again. I'm a mom now, and you're the new talk of the town in the media"
"Who cares what the media thinks. For once think of what you want to do." He's right, but it's easy for him. If I get caught Chloe will know... "I want to do many things, some include doing them with you. I have to say I was hurt when you said you went to Colombia without me." I laugh rethinking the whole trip.
"Just think about it okay? Promise me you will. I'll give you time if that's what you want. But I want to do this with you..." he stands up and walks off. I look at Sophia and Kai who are now carrying Luka as he laughs loudly.
If starting over with Mason again, I need to think it through. So much can go wrong, but so much can go right... he gets to bond with our son now, but also has a chance with me. I miss him so much, I think of everything we've been through and it all leads up to the same person. For once I want to be happy and safe in his arms. It wouldn't hurt to be with him again.
The memories we'd make like going to Colombia, Mykonos, me attending his games again, him coming home, and bonding with Luka while I baked his favorites. Him holding me close, him staying at my side no matter where we are, him just being there as my best friend. Oh who am I kidding, I still love this man...
I let the german couple id be back and they usher me off. I walk up the stairs looking for that person in mind. I see him changing his shirt due to the heat and humidity that has entered the house. I strode over confidently, turning him around. My hands rush to his face and pull him down to my level, smashing our lips together.
His warm arms wrap around my waist pulling me closer to him. His lips are warm and soft against mine, driving me insane. My hands move to his hair down his chest and torso feeling all the muscles and abs he's built over the past months. Our tongues fighting for dominance, we pulled away slowly, my heels placed on the floor due to when I tip-toed.
"What was that for?" His face is red and flushed, his lips slightly wet and swollen. "I forgive you... And I miss you like crazy. Let's try again, we just have to take things slow" my words make him chuckle and shake his head before he picks me up and spins me around.
"You drive me crazy Ella."
