Ella's POV:
I'd say the morning sickness got better but I'd be lying. Days before we flew I quickly got an appointment with my midwife, but she gave the heads up okay to travel. So that brings us here, completely jetlagged and lost in Portugal. Fortunately I could contact Mason's assistant, and she helped us to the hotel.

Sophia, Paula and I grabbed a quick dinner nearby the hotel, a well deserved meal after the eventful day. So many cravings all at once but I settled with something simple yet healthy. Mason had one last training before the big game tomorrow, so he couldn't really talk. He still doesn't know about the pregnancy...

Feeling drained and tired, I quickly showered and put Luka to bed. Before my eyes drifted off to sleep my phone rang a message from Mason. I quickly got up, rubbed my stomach as comfort, the message sounded in a different tone than usual.

Mason
Hey, can I talk to you for a bit?

Ella
Ofc! Is everything okay?

Instead of texting back he facetimed me. Mason looked tired and disheveled. The bags under his eyes gave everything away, and the wrenching voice made it worse. "Hi my love. Are you okay?" my voice coming in a small whisper, careful not to wake the little boy to my side.

"God i've missed your voice," he groaned and ran a hand through his hair, "Is he asleep?" he asked carefully, I shifted my phone towards his little boy that quietly slept after a long day. "Hope he wasn't too much, did y'all arrive here okay? I'm sorry I couldn't speak to you sooner," he apologized, shifting himself up to sit on the headrest.

"Not too bad, got a little fussy once we landed but he was just tired. Funny story, we actually did get lost when we landed but we had your assistant to help us get here," I laughed, making him give me a tired smile. A few moments of silence pass and I begin to wonder if he's okay. "Mase?" he hums, "Are you okay?" I asked gently, not wanting to overstep in case he wasn't sure.

"I'm fine..." he said nonchalantly, but as soon as he sighed I prep myself up towards the bed as well, "Actually not really Ella, I can't help but feel nervous and scared for tomorrow. This isn't a regular league game, it's a final for god's sake. A one in a lifetime opportunity... I'm scared to let you, my family, and fans down..." Mason confessed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You won't let me down as long as you try your best. You're a talented babe, the whole team is, y'all made it to the final for a reason, not because of pure luck, but through the sacrifice and hard work. I get you're nervous but it won't help once you're in that pitch running back and forth. Think about it, this is your dream, how far are you willing to go to achieve it?" I said.

"To the moon and back," he replied now feeling a bit of confidence. "I'm going to give it my all, no matter the result tomorrow, I'm proud of what i've done this season, and how far we came along," Mason continued. I smiled and nodded, "That's the spirit," I cheered, making him chuckle.

After talking for an hour, just catching up after being separated for a couple of days we said our goodbyes, me promising to be there for him tomorrow. After setting my alarms, I don't hesitate to fall asleep, my slumber hurtling me quicker than ever.

The next morning, I get up with morning sickness, afraid to have the same feeling during the game. Luka gets up and comforts me after I walk into the room, "You okay? Me too buddy, me too. I'm proud of your papa, you know?" His big eyes stare into mine, slightly understanding what I'm saying. "Let's get ready okay? Then we can eat with Auntie Sophia!!" he giggles and runs to the bathroom.

After doing skin care I threw on a simple loungewear, and put my hair into a ponytail. I took my vitamins as my midwife recommended and walked into the dining area. I find Sophia, and to my surprise Lorelei and Amelia as well! I jogged over, and hugged both of them, "I didn't think y'all would come this early! Gosh I'm so happy," I said out of breath.
