- Chapter I -

                                                            "Beginnings before beginnings"

"Get up now mums calling you" a loud feminine voice said with annoyance in her tone as she hit the door with full force. Her dark brown locks swayed with the motion before clicking her teeth in displeasure and climbing down the stairs.

"I'm up, I'm up, give it a rest kid" came from the other end. The man tossed in his bed dark locks astray and tired grumbling, as he stretched his arms blocking the little light that was hitting his face.

He picked up his phone from the bedside table looking at the time 8:30 "Too early" he mumbled as he shrugged on some slippers and made his way down the creaky steps.

"Took you long enough "The brown head said, seeing the man walking into the kitchen.

"Hey mum the little witch here said you called me" the man said, making a silly face at the girl, garnering an eye roll in response and a slick middle finger.

"Don't call your sister a lil witch Reggie, and I called you down for breakfast. Today is your last day here so have breakfast with us before you go" the woman replied, she was dressed in a yellow sundress with a gentle smile adorning her face, which contrasted the tiredness in her eyes.

With that Reggie sat down at the table with his dad and the little witch also known as Kaisa, they had a humble meal of scrambled eggs, bread and a cup of orange juice. "So, Reggie son, how's life going in the city? it's been a while since you visited us" his dad said giving him a pat on the back with a chuckle "The city's treating him too good, that's "his mother chimed voiced laced with sarcasm, leaning into her husband.

"yh it's going well I'm just very busy is all" Reggie replied sipping on some more orange juice, now being done with his food.

After finishing his food Reggie launched himself onto the couch getting as comfortable as he could on the old rickety couch, him being as tall as he is didn't help either.

He looked at his phone, email notifications, nothing really catching his eye most being ads till the message from his roommate popped up.

Kane - Yo bro are you coming back today?

Reggie - yeah, I am but my train is a little later on though, why what's up?

Kane- nah nothing serious was wondering if you would wanna hang out a little later is all before your on-ghost mode

Reggie chuckled a little, he knew what Kane meant once work got back into full mode, he'd barely see him at the apartment

Reggie - Yh definitely I'm so down couple of drinks and some nice music

Kane - Cool then see ya soon and say hi to the family to

Reggie- yep sure will

"Why don't you and Kaiza go out for a little shopping to get yourselves something" his mother spoke, rummaging through her purse then giving Reggie a few notes. "No mum you don't have to I can pay for it keep the money" Reggie said trying to push the money back into her hands "I'm serious Reggie, it may not look like it but she misses you a lot" she said with a smile, reluctantly the black-haired man took the money.

"Hey witch get dressed and let's go out '' Reggie said leaning against Kaiza's door frame while the teen was laying on her front using her phone. She grumbled but still got ready to go.

They went to the local mall and looked through some cheap clothes neither buying more than two items before getting some ice cream.

"So, how's school going?" Reggie asked while eating his chocolate ice cream. "It's been going well, I'm still top of the class if you must know," the brown-haired girl said, puffing her chest out a little. "I never doubted for a second," Reggie said, putting on a shocked face.
