"What"

"You heard me, I said I love you" Regie said voice clogged tears falling from his eyes, "I love you" the warm buzz alcohol gave was washed away and in its place a cold chill. Oliver was at a loss for words unsure what to say "Regie I don't know what to say I'm sorry I'm just" Oliver was finding it hard to put his words together cause he didn't want to hurt the latter more than he already has "I don't want to hurt you" "no matter which way you say it it will hurt so just say it" Regie said his voice raw and fragile. Oliver hesitated "I love you but not in the way you think you love me" he finally said

"What do you mean 'you think you love me' I know I love you that's why I am telling you I've past crush feelings for you a long time ago" he says with angry tears coming down his eyes. "What I'm saying is that you must have mistaken all the flirting we do for something more that's all" Oliver tries to explain " I'm telling you I like you not that you have to like me back so just take it for what I said, you know what I'm not doing this with you right now" Regie says taking a deep breath in and wiping his tears "come on Regie" he tries to reason with him "fuck off Oli" regie says and walks back into the club.

Oliver slumps down the side of the wall, he's tired, he's under a lot of stress from different factors and Regie telling him he likes him just became another addition to his already long list. He wishes he can return Regies feelings but he just doesn't feel the same way about him. Regies sweet, caring and loving but Oliver just doesn't love him like that. Oliver combs his hands through his hair before going back to the table. He sees his friends all laughing, a lot of them quite drunk; he can't even muster the will to drink now.

" Everyone's getting pretty drunk so we decided to go home, that toilet queue must have been long " Orion giggled a little upon seeing Oliver. He didn't realise he had spent that much time outside "yeah even rich people have to que too" Sebastian added along. Oli looked over at Regie and gave him a small smile he hadn't told the rest of the boys what had happened yet which he did appreciate.

"Yeah they are annoying Lets go" Oli laughed and they all stood up and walked towards the exit the valet giving them the keys "alright guys tonight's been fun get home safe, I guess same car arrangements as before" Sebastian says one foot on the car as Ryan gets into the driver's seat. "We're going back to the mines" Darren says, kissing Kane's neck. 'Shit' Regie thought to himself now he has to be in Oli's car cause Ryan's not gonna be returning Oliver car tonight cause Justins in a state and Oli doesn't care about it like that and Orion and Celeste live a different way from him are definitely gonna ask questions as to why he's not with 'lover boy'

"Yeah same as before" he finally says moving to the passenger seat of the car Oliver in the driver's seat. This is one of the times Regie wishes he was anywhere but here. The drive seemed to take forever he feel asleep and was awoken by tap on his shoulder "were here"

Regie slowly opened his tired eyes "yeah... thanks see you at work" he says as he exits the car

"Regie I'm sorry"

He doesn't look back and heads into his apartment.

A week has gone by and to say it's awkward between them is an understatement. Oliver is hesitant with everything he does and not wanting to lead him on in the slightest the banter they had is now practically non-existent. Everything is high tensions and didn't help the new fashion show was in a few days. Regie hated how the dynamic had shifted he can see how Oliver was overthinking everything and that made him upset too he's just tired and he was gonna do something about it.

They were at the venue for where the fashion show was gonna be held and sorting through some placements of things and rearranging things before the final practice run. Oliver was speaking to some of the models when Regie informed him that there was something that needed to be discussed he excused himself from the staff and followed.
