As all thoughts flowed in Nathanial's (although his friends simply called him Nate or Nathan) head, he looked around and surveyed his classmates. The first person he noticed was their teacher Mr. Briones, who sat in the very front of the bus behind and parallel to of course the bus driver.

The second person he happened to notice was the boy sitting next to him, (Boy No. 17) his friend Shawn Greenlin. Shawn had been talking his ear off ever since they'd first got on the bus to leave, Nathan was following along with him at first but eventually began to zone out. Shawn, known for his tendency to overtalk, often found himself in trouble until Nathan intervened. He also played football with the two boys sitting behind him which happened to be (Boy No.8) Austin Parker and (Boy No.15) Brandon Gutierrez. Austin and Brandon engaged in typical boyish banter, discussing animal fight scenarios and the various websites they'd been surfing on the net nights before.

To the seats to the left of them (Shawn forced Nathan to take the window seat with him so he can name the places they pass.) were (Girl No.19) Arely Martillo and (Girl No. 4) Sabrina Carter. They ended up sitting together by chance, and Arely began taking a quick nap to recharge, while Sabrina was talking with her friends who sat behind her. Those friends were (Girl No.11) Sophia Orlando and (Girl No.12) Victoria Owens, the three of them were often seen in a group laughing loudly and playing in the hallways whenever they got a chance. This time they were doing the same, however, they managed to keep their voices down a little and be a tad more considerate than usual.

On the next row of seats, they were (Boy No.10) Tomas Tompson, and Damian Wade (Boy No.11). Thomas, subjected to teasing for his alliterative name and larger size, quietly enjoyed a smuggled snack cake. Damian, known for instigating teasing, focused on his peaceful drawing. Behind this point, Nathan couldn't tell who was doing what behind him, but using his inferencing skills he could faintly make out people's voices.

From what he could tell, behind Tomas and Damian were (Girl No.13) Anna Bradshaw and (Girl No.16) Charlotte Landon. Anna, often mistaken for a European model due to her looks, defied expectations with her tomboyish personality. Though considered abrasive, she emitted a protective 'big sister' aura, according to Charlotte who was swaying from back and forth and humming the latest Pop tune softly to herself. She often dressed modern and followed whatever was most trendy at the time, having a bunch of new accessories to accompany her outfit and bubbly personality.

To the left of them were (Girl No.9) Amari Wilson and Hannah Garcia (Girl No.10), who were talking about which hairpins would look the cutest on them when they got to the amusement park. Amari was darker skinned, and with her polite demeanor and reserved nature, became a favorite target for the boys' unsuccessful attempts at winning her over. Hannah meanwhile was almost the popular opposite of Amari, being outspoken and outgoing even in this instance. It was a mystery how their friendship worked, but it did. The first half of the bus was enjoying themselves. However, the second half of the bus was even livelier and was contributing to most of the ruckus that was happening.
