Levi keeps in contact with Hanji over the next couple of weeks. They call nightly and Hanji sends him at least 10+ texts every day with updates. Nan and Miche try their best to help him get a plane ticket to get back home. But with the due date of the baby closing in things get hard. In the end, Levi just ends up throwing his shit into the back of his car and he decides he is just going to drive back to Connecticut. It's a horrible idea, going back home, he knows it too. But every time he tries to talk himself out of it all he can think about is that phone call.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Nan asked for the third time as Levi put his bag into the back of the car.

"They won't tell me what's fucking wrong with him," Levi responded. "If I have to go back to fucking Connecticut to find out what happened I will."

"I'm just worried about you relapsing. I love you but I...." His sister trailed off.

"Hanji and I have already talked about that," Levi promised.

They had talked about the subject for hours. Miche would drive Levi from Utah to Kentucky where they would meet Hanji. Once with Hanji, he was stuck with them. When in Connecticut he would stay with Hanji at all times and as soon as Erwin was out of the hospital Levi would help the blonde until he was fully recovered to which then Levi would admit himself to the rehab center. Despite Levi being mostly clean due to his not so bad of an addiction, he still wanted to go to rehab. Wanted to prove to the people around him that he was serious about getting better for whatever reason he may have.

Over everything he wanted to be able to prove to Erwin that he cared. Levi wanted to prove to Erwin that he cared about himself, wanted to prove to Erwin that he loved him. He knew he had done something unforgivable though and that there was a chance Erwin could never forgive him. Levi knew that very well and yet it didn't seem to scare him out of doing this.

"You haven't heard anything from the Hospital?" Micheal asked, opening the passenger's side door.

"No, they won't tell me or Han anything about his condition. Only that he is in the ICU." Levi shook his head.

"Did you call mom?" Miche asked slipping into the car.

Levi dug his keys from his pocket and slid into the driver's seat. He had called Erwin's mother. Asked if she would be willing to fly in from Germany to see her son. All the old woman had done was yell at Levi for breaking her once bright son, blaming the fact that Erwin was in the hospital on him. And once Levi had finally calmed her down, the woman had said she would try to fly to the US but she couldn't and wouldn't guarantee anything. The raven knew what to expect when he dialed her number anyway. The old hag had never liked him. Always saying that Erwin deserved better and how Erwin could be married and have kids by now if it was for him, and fuck did Levi know.

"Didn't answer." Levi lied.

Shoving the key into the ignition he turned the car on. Twisting slightly to grab his seat belt, he buckled himself and gripped the steering wheel. It had been months since he had driven. Months since he had actually left the house. Therapy was either held within the house or in the doctor's office down the road.

"I want updates," Nanaba demanded.

"We'll make sure to call and text, don't worry Nan." Miche smiled.

"Drive safe okay Lee?"

"I will, love you."

"Love you more."

With that Levi rolled the window up and pulled out of the driveway. It would take them 35 hours to get to Connecticut from Utah. The two men planned on just driving straight there, switching off when needed. As Levi turned into the main road, he pressed Hanji's contact on his phone. His phone rang a few times before he could faintly hear his friend's voice. Levi glanced down and put Hanji on speaker before setting his phone up on the dash.
