Author POV.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!"
Muichiro's enraged face and voice angrily shouted but she only turned her head to him and just gave him a smile

Flashback

The two were out in a village to relax. They stayed at a hotel, went out to eat in different restaurants, tried out many kinds of food, and went out to festivals. It was the happiest time for those two but sadly it had come to an end when both were called back for a mission

"Oh come on cheer up it's not like you'll be separated for good!"
Tengen came to cheer up Muichiro because it looked like his whole world shattered even tho his face was an expressionless one

"Muichiro!!! Guess what!"
Ito happily and excitedly said to Muichiro

"What"
He said and Ito was jumping up and down, twirling around, basically being a child who was very excited

"We both have the same mission!"
Hearing that Muichiro suddenly felt joy feeling his system

"That means we're going together!"
Muichiro was smiling so much tho it wasn't visible to others so much but he hugged her and they started getting ready, leaving Tengen alone

"For goodness sake, I have 3 wives but they make me envious. Ito truly has opened Muichiro up"
Tengen then left to do whatever it is he's going to do. The couple left after a few minutes, of course in battle they have to set aside their feelings and relationship

"Ohhh I'm getting the chills"
Ito said as she felt the chills go through her

"Let's go"
Muichiro said and they started their mission

Few hours into the fight

'Sht! We weren't informed that there would be reinforcements! Did they not see this too?!'
Ito thought while trying to keep herself calm and focus on fighting

'Hmmm if this drags on it'll pose as a threat to both of us. We have to finish this quickly'
Muichiro thought

"Ito! We have to finish this now or it won't look good for us"
Ito heard and nodded as they started to get more serious and sliced down demons within their sight

"What's the plan?"
Ito asked as she sliced down one last demon, Muichiro started listing off his plan and Ito suddenly laughed

"What's so funny?"
He asked, utterly confused why his lover was laughing so suddenly

"Your plan"
He got more confused as she said that

"You know we can split ways to get the mission done faster right? But you don't want to part ways don't you~"
Muichiro's whole face started heating up that he just looked away

"I-I know but this way is faster"
He knows, they both know, that this plan was not "faster" but he just didn't want to admit it

"Don't worry so much love, you're my master after all. I've trained hard under you, you think some demon will cut me down?"
She said

"I'll be fine, let's meet back here once we've finished on our side, if not one of us has returned we'll save each other. Sounds more like it doesn't it?"
She asked and left, he didn't have much of a say because he knew Ito was right so he just went on his way

Muichiro's part

Muichiro wanted to finish this job so he can return to Ito not only for the reason he doesn't want to separate but for the reason that he has felt something extremely bad was about to happen to her, he doesn't exactly know what but he could feel it so strongly that he could imagine what was gonna happen to her. He shook his thoughts off thinking he might just be overreacting, he quickly finished his side of the mission and went back to their meeting point, hoping she's alright
